Ok the wip is old, maybe even ancient. I keep getting people asking me when he will be done, when this and when that, but I have always said, I DONT HAVE ANY IDEAS FOR HIM!!! He's empty, he has his hypers, but he has NO supers. and since supers make or break the character, i haven't released himI open this thread to once again and HOPEFULLY FOR THE LAST TIME ask for suggestions.What moves would you like to see in Captain Ginyu.SPECIAL MOVESNOT HYPERSSo don't go suggesting milky cannon or Change now....ITS ALREADY THERE.And dont go asking how the change now move is done(this thread isn't for that as i've explained it before in my other threads....USE THE SEARCH/Archive)I just want some reasonable suggestions for good special movesHopefully i can get some REAL suggestions. Some stuff that will really help me. Ground wave.Move backwards into elbow into face dash.Hypertaunt.Angled attack ( like jaguar tooth in Adon, jump to wall, dash into enemy.)Barrier, a simple, low damage move whose only utility is to nullify opponents blasts.( it would be shot and it would either erupt from the ground and "eat" the projectiles, or be formed from his hands and return them)some kind of command throw where he kicks the opponents upwards, flies into them and slams them down .

see u gotta look back at certain moves he did during the dbz episodes such as: a sorta tornado kick? not like ryu's hurricane kick but where he spins his whole body around like a tornado... but on the ground and finishes with one kick also add the ever so popular hadoken... its undisposable in all dbz characters but make it purplehmm how about a move where he goes underground and then pops up doing an uppercut sorta like ryu's dragon punch

It'd be a good use for your WIP, Stig. It's Jorgie btw Anyway yeah, good luck on this. You should definately use those. Those are some good ideas and it would fit Ginyu very well.
a Guldo striker. or a spinning pose like Mr. Satan has? I don't know if you're willing to edit the sprites.
It might work if you gave him a Recoom helper since Recoom is well part of the force, although he's not important enough. =P. Maybe juice as he was there during the fight, and did attempt to do something......but I don't think thats necessary. It's been a while since I saw ginyu fight so I cant cant suggest much, but review the episodes and see some of his different moves. Iced's idea's are really nice btw, stick to those they'd fit him.
I can't do a recoom striker because recoom will eventually be made. Whether it's by me or by choujin.Guildo as a striker is more plausible. I would need some good custom sprites for that though.Some sprites of guildo doing his throwing motion would be nice.

It would be wierd to call in burter when you are fighting burter. Thats why guildo is the only feasible striker, he will never be made.

Thats why guildo is the only feasible striker, he will never be made.Add identifiers, if the character detects that his opponent is one of the persons on the move, that "part" of the move simply wont come out, or alternatively, that move gets dehactivated when facing elements of the same team.
Thats a good idea.Make it so that he always calls a ginyu force member, but always different from the one he's fighting.That'd be great actually Would require the guildo sprites though.
hmm..good idea...but i suck at edits. Now if i could get just one person to make me some guildo edits..that would be fine.. But I think i'll use that idea of having each member pop in. anyone willing to try edits let me know

Nothing much to add after Iced's suggestions.Energy wave and barrier from the gorund would indded work very well.A flaming flying kick would wrok too IMO.Maybe a sliding kick too.Also, I'm not 100% sure, but doesn't he perform at some point Goku's sunburst move ? If it's the case, it may be a nice idea to add this move.
Ok so its all getting done. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.Ginyu has a full set of specials now including a sliding/spinning kick and the "come from underground" uppercutI'm happy with the set of moves he has now, so from here on out its just move tweaking.(mostly on the change now move)Ive been trying to ensure that all of my characters give a different feel and fighting experience. However ginyu's size my make him feel similar to burter. He totaly lacks the that speed element though.Also just as in the series, the Change now move is only beneficial if used in desperaction....I.E. (Your opponent has more life and power than you).............And I've ensured that its quite dangerous to use or misuse it other wise.If you some how manage to do the move at the wrong time, and it happens to get blocked...............................lets just say you'll be "green" for the rest of the round.ALSO...I NEED THE JAPANESE SOUNDS FOR GINYU. I know somebody out there in mugenland besides MV can help me out on this endeavor.And i could still use a couple of guildo sprites if anybody wants to take a shot at making them or finding me some that are useful.I plan on getting all of this stuff done soon. The main reason ginyu hasnt been released is because I hit blocks on what to give him and I wasn't satisfied with the quality of his moves or his code. A year worth of learning and 6 characters has giving me a better bag of tricks. THIS WILL be the LAST Ginyu "WIP" thread.
