While the over basis is fine to work from for Shadow, obviously... But, I don't think a simple CS can compensate for Shadow. It's nice for a CS option yeah, though, look at the stance and facial expression. Doesn't fit Shadow's persona. It's not that simple, but, it would be nice to include the CS as an option to have a Shadow pal. If you were going to actually make Shadow, simply CSing him and using the same anims ain't gonna cut it imo. He'll need different anims.
Hmm... I envision Shadow with more of a scowl for a facial expression. A more serious facial expression, like Vegeta or someone would have. The insane grin/smile doesn't vibe to well imo. Other than that, it's very good. A less bouncy stance seem like it'd be more befitting for Shadow as well. Can't see his chest, but that would need to be edited too a bit. Just saying, if it were to go all the way. Sonic works great as a base, but leaving Shadow exactly the same, just a pal swap would be very uninspired. Not saying that's what you did there, not at all. I can tell the difference in that sprite, and it looks good. Well done.
Well Shadow is not serious all the time and dont looks like he have Vegeta humor, he only got the badass pose and always shows eyebrows strong expressionAt real I only fixed the hair and the boot a bit
I'm not saying that Shadow is always upset or anything. I'm just saying for a fighting game stance, it'd seem more befitting for him imo. To be more serious, unlike Sonic who is very cocky and brash. Essentially, how you edited it right there lol. Now THAT would work for Shadow. Yeah, Sonic was used as the base, but it's not just a simple pal swap. Nice touch to the chest fur, stance, and shoes.
