What bothers me about that animation is that it's still too KOF-ish, rather than how other characters breathing for idles in CvS2 is done like. Ryo would need quite the extra frames for that stance for it to look more CvS-ish.

Also, those fingers.

Doing a couple of extra transition frames for that one shouldn't be too hard. Fixing the lines in the arms to look tight and CVS-Authentic is another story. It's a damn good starting point that needs polishing, that's for sure.

Also, I didn't think this would come up again - great timing to post it :D

not really sure where these sprites came from (they were posted by deffnator here), but I tried to fix them up a bit. I don't even know why, this stance is dumb. Still a lot of very visible issues with his upper arm/sleeve area.
The stance is cool.

And the original is by CVSNB I think.

I have TMasta's version which looks a lot better:

I'm not gonna remove frames from an animation and make it less fluid just to get that stupid stance to work. And that's just *one* animation out of hundreds, the rest look bad transitioning into that awful stance. One attack happens to transition better if a frame is removed, it does not apply to most of the rest.

And the original is by CVSNB I think.
It's not:

It looks like it's the same base as TMasta's, though.

Look closer. I spent over an hour making a crappy NON-TRANSITIONING frame, into an actual transition frame in the row below the text. Defensive much, sir?

The stance isn't awful. The original stance is. Everybody is just looking for a way to make it work because it's awesome.

I saw the frame. The work required to make enough transition frames to make that stance look somewhat decent isn't worth it; and it certainly isn't worth it to remove frames. C'mon.

The original stance is good and works well with all of his sprites, because it was designed to. The KOF one can't say the same thing about working well with its sprites, certainly not until at least '99 or so. Don't hate on his CvS stance.

Defensive much, sir?

Again, wrong focus of attention. The point of me posting was the transition I made for that move, not the removing of crapily selected frame.

Also, how can one not hate that steaming pile of hot street trash stance from CVS? It is the single worst botching of a character Capcom managed to pull off, hands down. At least there's the alternate stance Judas did.

I know, but no one is gonna make transition frames for all the moves, and all's I'm saying is that removing frames without adding a replacement wouldn't work like it would with the standing HP.

It's an acquired taste! I think the only problem was the hair tones, and some color separation solved that.

Hey man, I'm deadddddddddd serious about a sprite sheet of a sf x tekken character. If not, maybe a re-make of Kuando by Aiduzzi. Done in a cvs style sprite sheet, think about it. If your price is reasonable, then it's a green like for business.

I really apreciate that, but I don't feel skillful enough to make full sprite sheet at this moment dude. Almost all sprites I made you have probably seen in this thread.
Also I made only few crappy animations so far, so making a full character would be hell of a challenge to me. I'm total noob in this bussines and I am not ready to take commision work - believe me :P
(Although I thought for a moment about making some animations for my King Cobra sprite but only to practice my skills :) - if I pass this test I can start to think about making full sprite sheet).

he seems a little too small, I remember pachi being a little bigger than that and the face could use a little more shading so the eyes and nose stand out a little more, but other than that good job.
(offtopic) do you sprite using screenshots or out of memory, because if screenshots could you give me a link to them or somthing because I'm having a few problems finding some decent hi-res ones online.
Thus Buddha Sakyamuni was born a prince, but voluntarily took to the mendicant's staff; and Francis of Assisi, the founder of the mendicant orders who, as a youngster at a ball, where the daughters of all the notabilities were sitting together, was asked:
"Now Francis, will you not soon make your choice from these beauties?"
and who replied: "I have made a far more beautiful choice!"
 "Whom?"
 "La povertà (poverty)":
whereupon he abandoned every thing shortly afterwards and wandered through the land as a mendicant.

Yeah, it's pain to find some useful screens of Tekken chars. For Jinpachi I used some blury screenshots I found on google and some of his promo arts as reference :P Best way to get screenshots is to get'em straight from the game or youtube video in decent quality.

Thanks guys, but i'm pretty sure that shading is off in some places (that damn sash on his back, and his left leg :/) When I'll figure out how to fix it I'll post an update.

Also I don't like the pose I used for him, but it's rather minor issue. I wan't to focus more on technical problems :P
