I'll say one more thing about what CVS Style is, and what it's not.KOF sprites don't translate well into Capcom style in general because KOF sprites are meant to have realistic proportions, meaning even if you entirely change the shading on a sprite to have antialiasing, it will not automatically look like a CVS sprite (are you reading me dampir?)The Capcom style, like most of us knows at this point, is derived from scanned sketches. Capcom style is exactly about that, STYLE - outlines, cool poses. If you want to make your sprite look like Capcom style, you need to take the lines to another level, where they have character and look stylish. The sprite above needs that.
well... I don't know... For me, the Bao sprite looks the same in style as this sprite. Or do you have any examples?
Needs more outlines everywhere, looks bland.Feet don't look outlined or cartoonish enough.Face doesn't have a consisten lightsource with the style (CVS lightsource - directly above. Your face = lightsource is on the front)
Tried to fix these things (except for the right foot, which I dont know how to fix)Made the legs a little bit fatterI think I understand what you meant and thanks for the feedback.
Onju said, June 24, 2011, 04:03:42 pmwell... I don't know... For me, the Bao sprite looks the same in style as this sprite. Or do you have any examples? This is the comparison that is not right. You have to compare this sprite...... with the same sprite of kyo in KOF to understand about the stylish changes in capcom type sprites.
Onju said, June 24, 2011, 05:41:21 pmThanks! Can i use this for as a base for other sprites?I don't think it's that good, but knock yourself out.
Vegina (Sounds very similar to Vagina.) looks so much better as a woman. Bisonisha looks pretty hardcore.Yuna looks...erm...free. Pun intended.
Onju said, June 24, 2011, 03:19:04 pmEdit: @Enso (Posted before i saw your post) Is that what you meant with anti-aliasing the hat? (only added a few lines)I know a little bit of antialiasing, to be honest. The pic you posted is not what I meant. What I meant for the highest line in a horizontal line, is having the two second colors to the lightest in between. You see the second color on the left and the other on the right, so that means the lightest color should be left alone. This is where I got to know about anti-aliasing.http://www.gas13.ru/v3/tutorials/handmade_antialiasing.php
