Guy, you may have jumped the gun a little. You jumped onto adding Asura's honestly convoluted detailing and lines before you had fully worked out his proportions. His left arm and leg are noticeably thinner than the right versions. Light source for this style comes from above in this style; Asura's lighting seems to be coming from in front. Not sure if it was the result of the program you are using or uploading issues, but this sprite also suffers from excessive colors; namely, he is clocking in at over 80 colors in this image.I'll spot you a torso and the better part of a right arm as an example.

Using the pencil tool inside of CS4 should suffice to the detail work. Just make sure that you turn off any anti-aliasing that might be active with either that or the fill tool, could explain extra colors. <- 4 colors too many for the 16 color limit, but it starts to get messy at around that point.
QuoteSo you have a PS3, don't ya While the answer is yes, I actually pulled up some footage from youtube for quick reference.Diepod & Artchell: Not too shabby at all.
Wow, yeah now I understand, my problem was to close the colors to the right so here this is Norton and Me!
Guy Armando said, June 01, 2012, 11:49:17 pmSorry man, but he have 3 colors in his jacket and legsThats not what he said. He meant rick seems to have LIGHT coming from several different angles. That is not how a CvS sprite should look. He should look as if hes lit from above. This may be of some use to people here.http://2dwillneverdie.com/blog/kiwis-7-step-program-for-learning-pixel-art/
Karasai said, June 02, 2012, 10:15:23 pmOh, carry on.Jmorphman said, June 02, 2012, 10:17:28 pmThat really doesn't look anything like an uppercut type attack.Maybe it lacks a few sprites, that's why it didn't look like an uppercut.Jmorphman said, June 02, 2012, 10:17:28 pmNor is it really CvS either. I see that the light source is somewhat, correct. Is it because of the scale?
