I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this but what makes a sprite CvS?The only thing I know is that the light source should be on top of the sprite, what else should i remember?
Karasai said, June 02, 2012, 10:24:54 pmIori's has around 8 or 9 frames while mine has 6.I'll edit it soon. It's not really the number of frames. It's that what the character is doing looks nothing like an uppercut.
Karasai, you are well aware that those sprites are not CvS and yet you still post them in the CvS thread. Why?
QuoteWell, First off: His proportions are much fit for cartoon-ish character, something cvs characters will never have, but since no one is complaining about Mario in this style, you can shrug this off easily.2nd: he needs a lot of details, without them, his shoes look flat(your gonna have to add 3 new shades/color slots to give additional details). His hair looks like it could use some retouching as well (looks to pillow-ish). The black outlines on his face needs to go. use the darkest color of eyes, mouth, Iris, and skin. (which in this case, you're gonna have to add them.)3rd: Light Source. It needs to be from the center, the light source your characters have looks angled, much like the KOF characters. His shoes also needs to have some type of light source applied. If you're not quite sure of what i'm talking about, visit this page. NSFW btw.
Karasai said, June 03, 2012, 12:29:29 amBecause I need help so I can sprite CvS style properly. something oldnice work there better than.... others things in this section
Ok here Norton's fix and Wendy Milan, I got a problem with her color face, I CVSished her from Primeop's sprite, please I need help with her facetake a look:
Karasai said, June 02, 2012, 09:54:29 pmWhether you're adding more frames or not, I will say this - the spacing is too even for that uppercut to have any punch. Iori's uppercut has him holding his fist down, and then he brings it up in a frame or two, and then holds his hand high for the brief cooldown. As of now there are no holds and so it just looks like he's scooping at something.

OK im gonna embarass myself with this,but...heres baek http://i48.tinypic.com/m9xafd.jpgkeep in mind that this is the 2nd sprite i ever made(1st one being a fucked up Hwoarang)Feedback appreciated
To start it all off, don't save your previews, sprites, etc. in .jpg file. It ruins the quality.Instead save it as .png.Head: - Hair needs improvement, try adding more shades of gray- Face looks okay but could still be improved- He's missing his mustache+goatee comboUpper Body:- Clothes need more folds and such- More shading- Proportions are off (His right hand)Lower Body:- Shading looks okay except when it comes down below his hips- His feet looks like shoes
I put the goatee, but i forgot the mustache :/Definetly fixing the hair, thanks for thatI will try to shade him more, and his right hand should be longer right?ANd i have no idea how to fix the feet,im terrible when it comes to feet :/thanks for the feedback,i was expecting to get spitted onWill post again as soon as i fix it
