I had this big write up about the process Involved in making this sprite but when I clicked "preview post" the Guild went down. The time is very late for me to attempt that again, but I still want to post the images and let you guys figure it out from there for now.Spoiler, click to toggle visibiltyBefore I forget I will say this: The height difference could be cause by slightly different posture and the fact that respective sprites could've have been taken from different points in their "bounce" (CvS Raiden could be at the height of his bounce while KoF Raiden could just be at his lowest frame. Either way, I'm thinking that Raiden may be one of the very few exceptions to the typical 47% shrink down I do with most characters. He could do well with 48% or maybe even 49% if I reeeeeally felt he needed it.
Yeah, the write-up was, for the most part, a telling of my experience in converting this character with numerous and very detailed color separations and to give my advice on how to improve on the method and how to avoid many headaches.I wrote it for Craig, but it may serve useful to others who want to do something similar in the future with another KoF character or some of the other newer sprite based characters that have been coming out these days.
Looking pretty nicely done! I like the process how you did with it. I'd like to do CVS style with Gimp 'cause I don't have Adobe Photoshop and I have problem with layering with a limit of two or three. Can't multiply layers.
