Pretty cool Abel sprite, I just think that it's a bit too wide to be CvS styled, but it's still pretty nice.
Yeah, I agree the proportions don't look quite right for CVS, but the general shapes and the shading look great.Really digging that Rogue too, Drex.
sprite based on SSOMEGA11, made to help him to figure out some spriting and shading stuff ( Sprites-inc forums)
by TMasta, touch ups by MotorRoach and Alex Sinigaglia and also me.I think all of the issues have been ironed out but I dunno!
I made palettes based on this pic. This is really just to test out the different ways the CS can be used. (Some sprites are not the most recent version of the sprite)Spoiler, click to toggle visibiltyI wanted some variety in Rouge's different win pose outfits so I made these. I started on her jumping animation last night. Right now I am only working on smoothing out her body for all of the sprites. I will leave things like the boots, gloves, and hair for the next go around
That´s looking lovely. I really don´t like that yellow tone you used for the default thought, it looks ugly IMO. Good luck with that, it looks promising (that mystique costume in the spoiler HNNNNNNG)
I'm not sure exactly what you meant by "yellow tone" but if you're referring to the hair or the jacket lining on the coast in color then yeah, I know what you mean.. I wanted to try making the cuffs stand out like in the picture, but when I did that her hair didn't look right being so white compared to everything else having warmer tones so I tried shading it with her skin tones like in her original sprite. I'm not sure what I will do about the default right now.
I was actually referring to the yellow colors in her body suit. That second yellow tone looks hideous (the green-ish one). You can care about the default later on, is not that important.
Flawless looks on both Rogue Drex!Nice look of the Ken edit, JMorph.I like the look of SF1 Sagat, but I have to agree with Alex for pointing out the shadowless abs.
I agree about sagat. Thanks for the +1s folks Aldo said, April 12, 2014, 09:42:23 amI was actually referring to the yellow colors in her body suit. I'm ttally in love with you *_*!!!!PD: Espero que no te sientas mal por lo que dije, ya que no lo dije ni de mala fe ni con mala intención.EDIT: ¿Son sprites sin más intención O vas a rehacer a Sagat?
That Rogue is looking great, Drex. As I recall she's one of the better animated marvel characters. Will you be keeping her smear frames, since that's not something cvs did very much?
Yes that is a must. Her movements are much too dramatic to remove the blur. I may edit them to look a bit more like Kim's or I may even do something original. We will see when I get there. One thing that I will be removing though is her shakey movement from things like her jumps, uppercut, dash, ect. in favor of just animating her hair and clothing. The shakey/stretchy effect may make it's way into a super or something though.
Yeah removing the shaky bits is fine, those are essencially very 'Marvel VS'-ish anyway, and since you're converting to CvS it's more fitting to do without them and only keep the hair/jacket animation.
