Is the 2003 version of Kyo still supposed to have on a vest under his jacket? Also, the belt seems to be incorrectly animated all the animations.

I see a t shirt.Concerning the belt they are placeholders till I can think of a better alternative. Maybe removing the belt.@ Alex: thanks for the fixes on Kyo's walk animation. :-)
Kyo wears a vest underneath his jacket in his original outfit:It is present in his sprites as well:(vest is in blue on the right)His jacket is slightly smaller than the vest, so the vest is constantly peeking out a bit. And since 2k3 Kyo's jacket is of normal length, the jacket shading just needs to be extended outwards to fill up the jacket.
Wow, I never knew that lol.Drex said, August 20, 2014, 04:11:33 pmIs the 2003 version of Kyo still supposed to have on a vest under his jacket?'03 Kyo doesn't have a vest.

OK, I just revised these GIFs, plz tell me what do you all think of them:
Is this a WIP? Because it looks like one. Maybe you could start your own thread in the Sprite Projects board.Feedback based on what I've seen - The jacket sleeves you're adding don't look like a jacket. They aren't loose enough, they look skin tight around the forearm/wrist.Kyo's pants are supposed to be jeans, so you should erase the fold-lines in the mid front for all sprites.Other than that, the belt detail and the palette look great.

Yeah, I see your point about the jacket after taking a good look at KOF XIII Kyo, but the pants are placeholders in the sprites; they are already easy enough to color (since I'm using JMP's Color Separated Kyo), and they already look alright in the sprite, so why change them? But thanks anyways, walt.
I didn't even notice the fold lines due to the dark color, but yeah, those should be removed. You might as well start now since you're pretty close to the beginning.

Also, his belt isn't really showing up (the trailing, untucked part of the loop does, but the part that's actually around his waist is not there at all).B.Hatter 1995 said, August 21, 2014, 12:18:55 amthe pants are placeholders in the sprites; they are already easy enough to color (since I'm using JMP's Color Separated Kyo), and they already look alright in the sprite, so why change them? One should never settle for good enough; one should always strive to do their best! Plus, alternate palettes will make the crease lines show up. They're worth removing.

They're worth removing. As what Niitris said, XI (or 2K3) Kyo doesn't wear a vest, so basically I think what I did on the jacket is closer to this incarnation.Anyways, thanks for the feedback JMP, I really appreciate the time you took to actually look at this. I did what you said about the crease lines, but I decided not to do the jacket like walt said. I might get around to doing it, but I dunno.Alex Sinigaglia said, August 21, 2014, 11:26:52 amIt's because he copied and pasted the shoe from another frame. Hey B.Hatter, Here is some feedback for your 03 cvs Kyo:Belt should be lowerNeck should be higherthere are little gap's in the glooves in the original versionsee this image as a reference http://www.mugenation.com/images/chars/King%20of%20Fighters%202003/kyo03.gifEdit:The pants don't look like jeans
B.Hatter 1995 said, August 21, 2014, 11:17:48 pmAs what Niitris said, XI (or 2K3) Kyo doesn't wear a vest, so basically I think what I did on the jacket is closer to this incarnation.I am aware that 03 Kyo does not have the vest; I'm not talking about keeping the vest, I'm talking about getting rid of it. The vest was and still is visible in your sprites (and it shouldn't be), that's what I was getting at. But I double checked the KOF sprites again and found a bit of a complication:One can see that 03 Kyo's jacket is about the same length as the jacket he wore in 94 outfit, which means getting rid of the vest won't be as simple as extending the jacket down to cover the black parts. Those black parts will need to be removed full stop, and the resulting empty space would have to be filled in. His pants don't go up as high as they do in 94, and his belt is wider as well (along with the addition of a prominent belt buckle).
