i am considering to move to winmugen RC
but which things do i have to modify in my old characters,stages or screenpacks?

i heard that you have to change the AI activation method to the build in one in RC

which other known issues may i have?

There was one good thing they added to hitdefs that's a good reason to switch... forcenofall = 1 I think it was.

At least, 1.1, with the zooming and the hardware acceleration with GFX card, will make people (who don't have a VERY shitty computer) switch to the official release.
Mind you, I'm still using Winmugen (and 1.0 at the same time).

haven't touched winmugen since RC1 showed up. Aside from checking some code in the early days.

forcenofall is new, and have used it already. Stagevar is awesome, although haven't used that yet.

The explod changes bother me a little in terms of how much needs to be changed for them to be compatible again with the zooming, but if it has to be done, it has to be done.

you also must fix every hitdef "hitpausetime" parameter to keep the desired pause values on the p2 side since R.C. has that pausetime bug fixed.

then there's alot of new data to add on the constants section aswell.

I also found a bug in high resolution display (640x480), all my fullscreen explods that had exactly 640 of width were not covering the whole screen and a vertical pixel line was left uncovered yet the same explod with the same coding covered the whole screen, the same goes for height most of the time. meh whatever...

I thought that pausetime bug was introduced by RC and has now been fixed.

no, the hitpause time was a bug that was already in winmugen, R.C. actually fixed it (read the very first version of R.C.'s changelog)

the hitpause bug is older than winmugen iirc. if your character is loaded up in winmugen compatibility mode you don't have to fix the bug iirc.

No seriously tho, I've done my share of research, for me personally, upgrading is a bad thing, I may even do my own topic on why, cos reasons are in the fuckload

One reason I am sticking with Winmugen for the moment is because of lack of 1.0 only content.
When a plethora of beautiful HD 1.0 only screenpacks and stages are made, I will make the switch.
