I like supers and specials and hate seeing a move done usually more than once in a round/fight.
A good player would just use the moves that are most useful anyway so all you're doing is wasting time adding options that will be neglected. Really, you don't need to pig out on moves because fighting games have multiple pickable characters for a reason. Precise, quality design > quantity.
I like to play with every character available usually but sometimes you might get a character that only has 2 specials (Guile). To me seeing the same move more than twice in a round just looks spammy but I also never watch movies that I have already seen or replay the same songs or albums that I have listened to because I usually remember them to well. To me a character can have flawless coding (precise, quality design) but if they have a limited arrangement of moves (like 2 special moves) I will get bored with them. quantity < quality but a limited move set = boring, IMO.

mugen itself isnt balanced because creators create what they want and how they want in their characters. the true essence of mugen. being from the biz , your very best way to have good all round balance is everyone in your roster keeps similar to same playstyle ( meaning chaining, ex guardings , super armor and such), same spot on coding and damage ratios. not even the company pros can totally nail it all the time.

so to want people to make all their characters balanced enuff to roll in anyones rosters is pretty much not gonna happen . people make what they want , that what mugen is and will be . and if wanted balance in your mugen screenpack then you get selective characters that can flow well enuff to call  it a balanced roster. good luck on that with thousands of custom created to wanabe accuracy characters.

  • Does this looks like the face of mercy?
yeah, i also don't know why we bother to share our opinions and have discussion since everyone has their own point of view so expecting everyone to come to an agreement is is pretty much not gonna happen

that's the true essence of human nature

Well said Edward.
All of your Mugen Portrait needs may be found HERE.

I'd like to report two robots on the MFG forums: One is EXShadow. The other is Saikoro.
There should be a Saikoro plugin for Photoshop.

so having characters that only has a projectile and a anti-air move is (guile) = to having a  character who has 2 projectile, an anti air,  and a knockback (Ryu). :???:
Some people are really good with Guile, I just don't see him equivalent to Ryu or Ken.

2 specials < 4 specials

bal·ance   [bal-uhns]  Show IPA noun, verb, -anced, -anc·ing.
noun
1.a state of equilibrium or equipoise; equal distribution of weight, amount, etc.
2.something used to produce equilibrium; counterpoise.

I guess someone really doesn't know what balance means. Gilbert  ;P

In most SF games, yes, this is true.

So a good Guile player = a good Ryu player, maybe. I am fairly decent Ken and Ryu player. Do you know how many times I have lost to Guile in (SSF4)? Hardly ever even when they have much more experience and BP. He does have charge moves which could be considered a + but equal, I have not seen, maybe in SF2.

stuff about having personal dislikes or whatever

That's nice and all but if you actually looked at the thread you could see ecthelion's and my feedback. Feedback is called feedback for a reason; If I say something, regardless of whatever it might be (Personal recommendation, bugs, whatever), it's a response. And the creator noticed the feedback, yet disregarded it. Something simple like "He should have this appear whenever jumping" is yes, personal. Does this mean personal advice is bad? No. Something like this is like personal advice. The creator acknowledges the comments.

If the creator doesnt agree with the personal recommendation, then he should at least decline doing so, rather than having Race and Skeletor jump to conclusions and start talking about how the Moojinz is supposed to be. Again, we come to the same cycle of people complaining about feedback and how it should be stated. Alas, IMT.

Umm........why the heck are you tryin to bring me into this let alone speak my name like you know me or something?.... Yeah i said somethin to you about that "Too many hypers comment",  awhile back....and....... WHAT? Dude that happened like last year dude and your still butt hurt over it..... Dang, let me get you a tissue... hahaha... I mean, my only thing with that matter was that you told him he had too many hypers in his characters, and yes it was your opinion but I have a right to have mine as well and disagree. Plus, surely he didn't have too many more hypers on his edits than what you went and put in on N64's Mario's Zero... Cus he didnt have that many in him originally. So thus that doesn't make you no better than him, so that point you tried to make about him having too many hypers is pointless,  it just seems like your feeling spiteful because at the time the attention wasn't on you or your releases. As far as bugs go, your points were valid, but kno this, mostly everyone thought that when you said that "Too many hypers" comment that you were lil off with that one, cuz they kno you have the same thing going on in your edit of Zero. And I only said one comment about it, I can't help it if everybody else agreed with me, so it wasn't like I was throwing brick after brick at you or trolling you like most people do in the mugen community.  And those releases by me or Infinite were released at IMT but they were not "IMT releases", they were "SGM releases", so get your facts straight before you try to bring other people in this dispute.......

Guile's universally accepted to be one of the best characters in SSF4AE.

Haven't seen that but I haven't played mines in about 5 month, maybe people have gotten much better with him since then or maybe I'm better with Ken and Ryu then I give myself credit.
