Everyone creates Mugen videos for different reasons.

I got curious as to which reason is the reason for people to create Mugen videos.

So why do you create Mugen videos?

I wouldn't create them, but it seems that announcing a WIP with screenshots isn't enough any more. Gotta have a vid showcasing an unfinished character that's using the same kicks and punches over and over... *sigh*

I would also vote "for fun" but it's not funny at all when you record with such laggy PC as mine :-\ .

(And I also have better things to do).

Yes I realized that when someone ask for a video of Mugen Tournament. I was thinking to myself, why would they download or stream a large video file, instead of testing out the small program. Makes no sense really. But that is life.

I mainly did them for popularity.

But it seemed that MUGEN is a bit over saturated on Youtube so I stopped for a few years now.

I might come back soon.

Because screenshots of my stage WIPs and releases don't suffice. My stages mostly are animated, or have stuff that have to be seen in motion.

That, and I can reach more people with videos than I could on these forums. The more downloads, the more fulfilment I get.

Just something for fun.  Wish people would comment or something, though.

Mostly just put up suggestions by friends who can't get Mugen, due to not owning a computer or using computers that are so old it cause lag that isn't worth playing.

None of my wips will be out anytime soon to be totally honest, so I figure it at least helps for people to have fun little videos of it all to enjoy until I release any of my fullgames one day.
Also it is just fun to record shit for the Hell of it.

BTW there is an option missing in the poll.

I like to create video game demos by myself. Using characters and such that I make.
Mugen, All sorts of RPG Makers, Platformers.

Stuff like that.

As far as Mugen Specifically... I like to think that I fill in some gaps in mugen rosters, but that's just what I like to think.
