Hey everyone!

Just downloaded mugen for the first time and decided to go with the 1.1 version because it appears to be the newest.  I do have a few questions about that an 1.0.  I guess they relate to each other actually.  I have seen some stuff about hi-res vs low-res mugen.  I'm having a hard time finding out what the difference is.  Does this refer to just the stages that are being used, or does it refer something else.  Does 1.1 support hi-res or just low-res?  Any help or clarification would be great!  Thanks in advance.

Hello and welcome.

The thing that makes the difference is the type of graphics used. You're free to use anything really, as long as it's indexed in 256 colors. Mugen 1.1, alleviates that limitation, but you still need to do that for character sprites.
