i have some pretty rare infinity race45 characters that i cant find anywhere , they took the post off with the chars , possibly most of you guys have them , but they arent on the internet anymore,  i dont have the names of the chars but i can go on my other pc which is currently out of town and post the chars names but in the mean time i was wondering , when i would put the chars on a disc drive and transfer them to my new pc why wont the chars load? can anyone help me with this? i really want this chars on my new mugen setup!

I really don't understand your question because of all the extra stuff you surrounded it with.

I'll try to answer the topic title, though:

Transferring characters is like transferring mp3 files. There's nothing stopping Mugen from loading characters unless the character is buggy or not listed correctly in the select definition file.

the same thing happened with some of your characters , all the files and defs and display names folder names and select.def names were rite.... it wouldnt let me load it =(

Are you using a flash drive to transfer them? Regardless, you should compress the files before transfering them. In zip/rar/whatever format works for you. Sometimes files can get lost/corrupted when transfering non-compressed files. I've had that happen to me before. Not sure of the exact problem or details that caused it, aside from them not being compressed first. Hope that helps.

thanks i will try and compress the files...cus the chars i got cant be found anywhere!
