- Deleted not finished stages;
- Added new stages: Waterfront_umk3, Jade's Desert_umk3;

- Added new select (mkt beta style);
- Now it's packed with MoleBox.))

Opinions/Quick Feedback:

-no full screen options?
-the character select screen is quite deceving it would be better to just show the selectable characters IMO because its difficult to navigate through
-most of the characters are pretty fun to use, although some characters have crackling voices/bad sound quality when doing certain moves for example scorpion sounds good when throwing his spear, but when he is doing his punches his voice goes crackly.
-The AI is really good although it maybe annoying for people with a beginners skill, it would be nice if the custom AI activated later in the game (match no 3/4 etc), like in most MK games.

Its quite a fun game to play i especially like the fact that you can punch your opponent through the ceiling like in the real MK3, this looks promising and i hope to see more progress.

yeah it is really cool to see people learning how to make the stages were u can go thru the cealing ect this was done well  :)

- 1st off, Hate how everythings crammed into an .exe file. WTF is up with people doing that now an days? Mad gay.

- Cant select some characters, WTF is that about? Do you unlock them? or you just cant play as them? I dont get it....

- No countinues? Thats mad fucked up. I got almost to Khan and I die 1 time and I have to start all fuckin over again. Seriously bro, wtf were you thinking? You cant possible be able to beat all these guys without dying once.

Other than those I havent seen much problems. But I dont want to play it either cause I know I'll only last 5 or 6 rounds till I die and have to start all fuckin over again.  :'(

I think I will wait till there is an update to this game before I touch it again...  :-\

EDIT: I mean no dissrespect to you Leon, Im was frustrated as fuck while typing that. Your game got me pretty pissed off. (Sheeva keeps owning me...)

Anyways, another thing I have noticed was while playing as scorpion, I try doing a teleport punch, then a sprear throw to follow.... But I can never chain the 2. After the punch hits I press back, back, B and no spear comes out. Its like I cant chain the 2 attacks like I could in Trillogy or UMK3.  :'(

doesnt work for me.

mugen boots up, the screen stays black for about 15-20 seconds, then it crashes.

This one sucks the worst out of them all.... You cant select characters freely, and to get to the bottom of the character selection is a bitch all in itself.

Your fullgame gets 3 out of 10 stars.  --;

it's a wip and he is doing a great job on stages and other stuff.
what's the problem on making a full game of mk?. this project will be better than many of other games out there
and you said 7 mk's. what about street fighter, or worst.. king of fighter games? there are a lot of projects..

This version, of course was created together with Fly (and based on alpha's gameplay), my good friend and very
talented coder.))However, It's have bugs, but I don't think, that character's selection is
serious problem. Now Fly making new engine from zero point with umk3-accurate gameplay.
And we're re-ripping sprites from mk2-umk3.

What's New:
- Changed all character's sounds;
- Changed all comments;
- Added all basic sounds, such as throw,
punch, roundhouse;
- Fixed lifebars, now look like as in mk4,
with umk3 graphics;
- Also fixed timer speed, all line's positions;
- Added new sprites for Kitana's fatality,
such as Sonya's, Kano's and Sheeva's
body parts;
- Fixed spear's issue, when Scorpion
was beaten by opponent;
- Added new sounds for specials, such as
Kano's, Jade's, Sub-Zero's moves;
- Fixed team menu/messages positions,
also added new letters, such as ' ! ? [ ];
- Fixed Sheeva's throw, now without useless
velsets;
- Fixed issues with sounds for Sheeva's,
Kano's moves;
- Deleted some stages, but now you can
add your own in select.def;
- Changed all sprites for Street_mk3,
now quality is nice, as in mk3;
- Changed all sprites for Vs-screen,
also fixed positions;
- Fixed issues with Kitana's, Sub-Zero's
fatalites;
- Deleted useless graphic, sounds
from mkp5a.

Note: there are fixes, that I can't remember.
I know, that now not all sounds are exists,
but it will be fixed later.
And check new lifebars!! I think, that it's more
better variation, than in v0.2.
About title/menu, I think, that it's not good now,
but I don't have any ideas about that.
I also deleted all icons for inactive cnaracters,
now navigation is more better.
And this game is no need in continues, AI
isn't best and easy to beat with come tricks.

This version was made by me only, I think, that v0.31 will be my last addition in project.

And about new engine. Already done:
vs-screen, vs-codes,
character: Sub-Zero,
physic, basic moves etc. That's all now))

Without stages, blood, sound and other important things.
Gameplay is 100% as in umk3.

Where Sub-Zero's combo HP, HP, LP, back+HK?
Why Kano use air throw? In UMK he used dropkick in air.
Why you don't use original portraits for Select your fighter screen?
Replace Kano and Sonya at MK2's Kahn's Arena with other guys (who not in this game) or use MKT version without them. Same with Jade's Desert and Cyrax.
About "The Temple" stage: Original background looks like Midway has only 1 hour to work with that, dragon logo has bad quality and shadows too. Maybe you replace original with something like that:

Really hope for some things in final release:
1) All arenas from MK2 (Goro's Lair also) - UMK3. Dead Pool in 0.21 is Awesome!
2) Character icon in Select your fighter change, if you replace original character with some another.
3) Open Select.def.
4) New VS Screen for Motaro.

2)Classic Sub-Zero, Rain, Human Smoke, Chameleon, Khameleon in game or not? (hope not, cause in my opinion only one Sub-Zero (MK3) and only one Smoke (Cyborg) are better, Rain in UMK was ultimate cheater + they are all clones)
3)May be you replace some UMK ninjas with MK2 sprites? (for example Scorpion, Noob and Jade) This for smaller number of clones.

P.P.S. Some idea about Portal(s): MK2, MK3 and UMK3 has different portal arenas, 3 same arenas are too much in my opinion, only 1 will good enough, and cause this MKT remake maybe you will use MKT portal texture for new arena that replace all other portals? Examples:

This is one thing I can agree on, there are way too many ninjas in MK lookalikes, they are mostly just pallets with different moves. If anyone can remember, I was doing a new wip of reptile that got put on hold but the character was his newly classic look from the N64 MK4Gold game, that version of him was incredibly good and original and changed the ninja overload in the MK series. Even in the newest games like Armageddon some have been altered like Ermac to be more middle eastern looking as opposed to a ninja which is great cause he looks like a sorcerer of some kind  :o 

I'd get rid of guys like Ermac, Rain, etc. and keep just the key and reoccurring ones Like scorpion and subzeo. Even for subzero, use the maskless one to change it up a little if you're gonna start a custom MK game, but regardless of that I'm just glad someone is making compatible and working MK characters for mugen, the ones for the MKP version have too many problems and are stubbornly modified so they can't be playable on anything else except MKP's.

I haven't tried this out yet but I seen the vid from the earlier page in this thread and being a MK fan, this has a solid feel and look to it like the arcade counter part.

i must say this feels alot better than the last version you did, also the character selection screen is much better. I do miss being able to punch characters through the celing at the bank stage like i could be before though.

In original MK3/UMK3 characters are smaller than in Mugen, and for this reason they looks more accurate.

Maybe some balance edition, but maybe not, you don't know working that or not before you try it:
Shang Tsung:
For use him as great fighter without morphing or new moves, you can add some speed (or some damage) for his fireballs, some combo (big one like Sheeva have or 4-5 hits with fast uppercut in end) and change his Volcanic Eruption move: first fireball not appear at end of screen but right under the opponent, range between fireballs is the same to original.
Cyrax:
Bombs: Replace "Long range bomb" with "Bomb under the opponent" and decrease time before explosions.
Teleport: Add some speed to this.
Mileena:
Just add some speed or damage to her teleport kick and sai toss, change button combination to her sai toss (for example back, down, HP) without holding any button.
Nightwolf:
Make his shoulder charge faster (like that was in Trilogy where he can use "red shoulder charge" - back, back, forward, HK, but replace his original move - f,f,LK))
Kabal:
Really don't sure need he any change or not, but you can give him Flash's "around the world" move from MKvsDC.
Baraka:
His Blade Spin have too big range, you can use MKG/MKvsDC version or replace it with Mutant Blades from MKD or Scrape Kick from MKvsDC. I more like Kick, cause this is totally different from his blade attacks.
Sindel:
Think that she needs more range to "Scream".
Really don't like her double fireball from MKT, cause Sektor has Double Rocket and Shang has Double/triple fireball and that's enough.

The original resolution of umk3 arcade is 400*254, and the resolution of mugen is 320*240, much difference :P

Also i still need MK3 Temple sprites. About Noob's Doften: maybe cut this stage from project, cause Balcony stage use same sprites.

The project was renamed in UMK3 Remake.
Now two separate projects exist, the second is MKT Remake.
Also now we have accurate data on the umk3's different velocities.
This will improve the quality of both projects.
I plan to do not full copy, as interloko's mk1, but version with various improvements.))
And don't use all characters in one, because shang's morphs not so important..
Hah, about MKT Remake, it's full copy of umk3 gameplay, but I don't like it, because I already have
umk3 on MAME/PS2. However, it's really have the same gameplay as in umk3.))
May be, this project will be more interesting later, when Fly add more characters from mkII-umk3.
Now only Sub-Zero in it.

You know in another thread someone mentioned MK characters were hard to play and that they were just not very fluent in movement but a guy who unfortunately deleted his video of his MvC gameplay and physics on Scorpion and removed his website  :'(

I wonder if maybe you guys can work together to improve the gameplay and add stuff like the Mike Obreckt guy did with newly remade moves from later MK games into MKT style. Yeah there are no decent MK characters other than Mike's and a few others but there is definitely room to improve on what the company might have overlooked.
