Two characters that were just random mooks in Final Fight.Hugo was in SF3 (and wasn't hyped like that), and they were both in SFxTK, another crossover. And Poison was a surprise out of left field when she was announced (except not really since Ono had been discussing about her a lot). Plus, she already had a huge fanbase. We're talking about a completely new character here (as in without an existing model and movelist).

Because they don't have a fanbase as big as Poison, and Capcom isn't redoing an entire cast and need to get as many ideas as possible to replace existing archetypes. They're literally no ones. So yeah, it's very heavily doubtful. I'm not saying it's completely impossible, but before we get to them, there's a lot more other options, and that makes them bottom of the barrel. That rules out the clever guesses and the wishlists of all kinds.
link said:isnt on anyones radarthe irony/mystery of this statement is that if people think the character is not well known, people are just gonna get more and more obscure with their guessesthus leaving open characters that are actually NOT obscure, which would mean that someone well known will actually be the character (considering theyre off the radar)layman: the only reason the char isnt on our radar is because the char may be someone obvious and all speculation is heading torwards more obscue characters....fucking onoi may be absolutely wrong tho heh
At this point, I'd be shooting not for something obscure (because wishful thinking, it would piss me off if it was some older than dirt obscure shit or some recent game that no one cared about when it came out) but for some series like Ace Attorney, Breath of Fire or Strider. But none of them is "very related to SF" and a guest hero like that would be completely out of the blue. Or... D.D. from Capcom Fighting All Stars, technically he hasn't made his debut yet, and they can re-use the Mishima style. Yeah, I'll just go and hope it's D.D.
Hrm. find something that they want to promote, it will likely be that. What are their next games? Anything there is remotely sf related?
Well since new Strider Hien game is announced.........Which has nothing to do with the Street Fighter universe
Ooh, a new strider game is coming? And to make an obscure jump, I say Tom is the newest character in USF4.
They won't add Tom while people are still asking for Alex. I don't think even Capcom are that mean. And have they backpedaled a bit? From "already part of the SF universe" to "would fit well in the SF universe"?
storyline(haha)-wise this would actually be a nice starting ground for tom since he did teach alex how to fight prior to sf3 and he is supposed to be a bamf, also jean fucking renoand alex had a fairly recent appearance in tvc so its not like he's been super missed, not as much as SOME sf charasthen again, he did appear in tvc so he has ground to work with 3d-wise if they did decide to go with a previous sf fighter

I was sure they'd gone further with that, saying it was a straight up Street Fighter character. Doesn't matter now, seeing as they've gone back to fitting in.
theres going to be a parental switch, when you throw it from japan to america, it replaces poison with Sid.
what a good fucking joke i almost died from not being able to breathe due to the unstoppable laughter
