Awesome thanks so much, gotta love Nova's "Here's Richie!". BTW you wouldnt happen to have any plans to rip some images from the game would you? If not, is there a guide out there on how to extract image and sound files from iso's?

The images are probably textures and i read somewhere about the sounds being able to be ripped but cannot remember where or how

What volume notch were you recording on?  There's a little clipping but not really noticeable. I don't hear any pop sounds(which is good).  Only thing I would have changed as I mentioned in my initial recommendations would have been the 48000Hz instead of 44100Hz, but still not bad.  This is a mass improvement from your last rips from my initial views of randomly selected voice sets.

i thought i had it set at 48000, i can easily change this if it makes an improvement to the files. also when i get a little time i will be ripping all of the characters voice files for the new sounds. thanks again Hoshi

I have Issues with mediafire, the only rips I can find at JNP are the Vanilla MVC3 ones.

The UMvC3 rips aren't hosted on JNP as of yet. If you'd like me to upload them there I could do that, but I plan on separating the sounds prior to uploading (If there is a certain character sound set you're looking for then I'll separate those sounds first).

Could you possibly upload the Japanese sound files for Morrigan and Chun-Li?  It would help me immensely!

They're on his site in the add-ons section, why do you need people to upload them?

Alternatively, check www.justnopoint.com/forum.

They're not. MGMURROW never uploaded JP sets. However, Hoshi ripped JP voices for the entire Capcom roster, but those links are dead.

He has ENG voice overs but I need JAP, I bought a AV adapter to connect my xbox360 and computer.  Attempting to record them now.

Anyone have a problem with this method?  Specifically how my adapter likes to play the sounds at MAXIMUM POWA!!

I just want clear recordings, that's why I prefer files straight from the game :I

The site you posted has ENG voice overs also, close though :)

Sounds like you're trying to record during matches/in training mode. Use the sound test, sir. You'll have to hear the cursor noise, but that will be easily removable. FUCK MAN

I think that's the method most people use. The volume of the sounds isn't really a problem. Audacity and Wavepad can easily take care of that.

Yea I've been using the sound test without bgm or sound effects so it's nothing but the voice files, the problem is it records at such high volume that you get that buzz noise.  I used noise removal so it's barely noticeable except for when they're actually talking.  Sounds good enough for me.

Thanks for the help.

When I record them, I turn the in-game volume down to about 2-3(Blazblue I would record on 15 out of 100).  That's usually low enough to record in Audacity without a ton of extra sounds flowing into the mic.

The way I record, and this can be used on a lot of games:

PS3 component cables/composite cables audio cords > female2female composite adapter > composite2 3.5mm adapter > laptop mic port recording with Audacity.

The reason I use composite/component cables to is have the video still being played on the tv so I can see what sound I'm playing to avoid playing the same sound twice.  Its fairly simple to set up once you get the parts and requires a little tweaking to get the playing/recording volumes correct, but once you do its a breeze.  Its a good method to use as long as the sound tests don't apply any filters to the sounds(in Mario Party there's an echo effect they add in during the sound test).

Additionally, when recording, the sound should barely reach the edges and never go above(or below, at the bottom) them.  That's where you get that buzz from.

After looking for a couple days I found this as a solution and did the recordings earlier today, they had a loud buzzing sound but with noise removal and reducing the sound on Audacity I was able to lower it to an acceptable amount.

I didn't think of that LOL, I tried turning my tv down and my mic down.  I'm an idiot LOL

I will keep this in mind for next time, thank you everyone for your help.  I'll post what I make later on incase anyone is interested.  Not exactly Mugen but I'll mention your site since you did your best.
