        Uno Tag System ver. 2.5

I played MVC2 in arcade yesterday and i noticed something that should be implemented in my tag code..


Final Update - December 02 2012:
- Partner Assist more bugs fixed!

November 28 2012:
- Partner Assist updated. Partner does not do his/her taunt before leaving the screen if he/she has been hit before he/she perform his attack move.(like Marvel vs Capcom 2 Partner Assist).
- Updated UnoShe_ReadMe.html again. Please read it for important details and instructions


Previous Updates (Nov 23 2012) :
- Fixed PlayerPush checking and done other changes.
- Improve trigger condition for Tag Hyper Cancel.. I made other li'l modifications..
- Updated UnoShe_ReadMe.html .
- I saw problems with the 1.0 version and got to fix it. Honestly, i didn't read the documentation about
upgrading the cns in Mugen 1.0 before making the tag system! I just thought AILevel is the only "new stuff"
in Mugen 1.0 version..

..please, try to open the tag_system.cns and read it first! if it doesn't help then maybe the char does not supported of the tag code. thanks!

Press [CTRL + 3] for player 1 and [CTRL + 4] for player 2 at the start of the match in able to control your partner.

Sir, have you tried modifying Ironman's Assist move in his tag_system.cns?.. if you do and still you get this error then try doing this(i'm not sure if it would work for him).

This is some lines where the character's partner assist is defined.

Code:
; - Define this one!
[State 4933, SpecialMove]
type = ChangeState
triggerall = BackEdgeBodyDist > 0
trigger1 = selfAnimExist(1000) ; <---| change this..
value = 1000        ; <---| ..and this for the Partner Assist move.

Now, change the value with a move state number(whatever assist move you want to) that was really an existing state of the character. Then change the line

...with this one!

just make it sure that you put a state number value that is really an existing state.!



...about that jumping across the top glitch, maybe the state number used in the tag code(probably the state number used for entering the screen, in your Ironman's case) was/were already used by the character's author and so there were conflicts when you patch him out! therefore, this tag code was not meant for that ironman, i guess..

Hmmm I maybe doing something wrong here lol I tried to use the patch and as soon as round 1 started the characters went haywire and started jumping in and out attacking for like a good 15 seconds then after that I couldn't tag out lol

CTRL+1/2/3/4 are debug keys to enable or disable the AI control on those players.
You need debug keys or debug mode enabled to be able to use them (just like you need it to use F1 to kill the opponent).

Like the update but there's a bug i keep seeing & it happens when either p1 team or p2 team wins the round but don't have their partner there to pose with them due to the fact their partner gotten k.o.ed & disappeared off the screen but their partner is still there laying on the ground but invisible they stand back up for a brief second but fall back down due to 0% life on their lifebar......another bug i've notcied you can tag out before the fight starts.....

i fixed the first bug you have mentioned... but the tagging-out before the fight starts i have never encountered that before! can you please show me how it looks like? i mean, can you show a video for it.. thank you sir!



i made changes again because of those bugs.. never-ending bugs!!  :drunk:

thats not suprising you ask others to help you and get you resource matrail but yet have you gave anything back to the public? cant stand people making shit private and it wouldnt be a issue so much if you didnt brag about it or make videos to show it to people that wont ever get to try it out

I would be nice if someone made a list of completely compatible characters for this character/author

well ya see, that would require one to download literally every character ever made for mugen and to test them individually with every move they have against every character in mugen. And its safe to say that would take a hell of a long time.

For certain characters when you use the partner assist your partner comes out & doesn't do anything at all & they just leave the screen which is a big issue with most characters especially Rajaa's characters due to the default stateno for their assist...not every character has a stateno 1100 for their anti air attack & not every character has a stateno 195 for their taunt....same with their tag in attack which is stateno 640 not every character has that stateno either.....this is when the player gotta edit the tag system cns file for the character that was patched with the tag team system & add the right statenos for it to work properly which can be also a pain in the neck at times.

I think that's only possible by making a fullgame BUT im not entirely sure :/
Just take a look at KOFzillion they have tag team without having to use ctrl+3 at all

A partner assist bug I've discovered sometimes your partner don't leave the screen after doing their assist move they either stand there, walk towards you, jump to you, or crouch. Once they get hit they then leave the screen.

A partner assist bug I've discovered sometimes your partner don't leave the screen after doing their assist move they either stand there, walk towards you, jump to you, or crouch. Once they get hit they then leave the screen.

I fixed it already but somehow my mediafire account seems having problem again! i can't upload the file..  :'(

I get an error when I try to  patch Sally by Mugenhunter.

Error message: Player has too many commands. Only 128 unique commands labels allowed.
Error in SallyMH_tag/SallyMH.cmt
Error loading chars/ff3_0/ff3_0.def
Error loading p1

never mind I fixed the 128 unique commands thing.


also I get debug error wit chars that dont have debug errors.

maybe you did not copy the one that says ";Tag def files...ctrl + c to copy" and put it on the select.def.. sorry if my english is bad  :-\

For Pots Shin Gouki & Pots Ryu you got to have a copy of their system st file & then copy the tag code from the Uno Tag System v.2.5 STATEDEF -2 Override & paste it onto their system st file. The tag system will work however with pots Ryu he'll be in & out of different modes like one round he'll be master mode & round 2 he'll be normal mode. For pots shin gouki pots vega will automatically be on the ground dead like shin gouki did his misogi intro to him & the problem with that intro using the uno tag system is due to the fact that pots vega is laying on the ground dead pots shin gouki won't tag in when you tag him. To fix that issue you got to disable the misogi intro in 2 on 2 battles & the tag system will work fine with him. I got a patch of pots shin gouki with this tag system in him along with my ai patch as well however I don't got it uploaded on here.

Please open and read UnoShe_ReadMe.html first, it might help you guys, because like kd-XIIII, i can make my tag system work with him! same as the others..





The patch (v2.5 for mugen 1.0) doesn't work almost char by Infinity such as Cable

first, take System.cns out of the "States" folder and put it together with Cable.def file,
then open Cable.def file and modify this line....

The only problem I have now is with the Capcom vs Snk characters. They keep tagging in and out really fast.

the reason why is they've already have Var(51) used in the character.. try to open every cmd, cns and st files in that character
then replace var(51) with var that was never been used in that specific character (better use notepad++ to make task easy)
before patching the tag system..

-Still depends on the character if he/she is compatible with the tag system then it will work fine whether he/she's CvS or MvC..

I looked at your read me and it didn't say anything about this issue. What I had to do was start a round and immediately push F5 to force a time over draw game so that neither side get's a loss. Then in the next round most of the time the tag patch would kick in. Sometime I still have to hit F4 a few times to force a round restart so that the patch would kick in for BOTH players. An idea what could be causing this?

I have absolutely no idea what I am supposed to be doing but I tried patching Dante and Vergil from DMC3 made by bugya and they don't work at all.

I've already make the tag system work on Mugen 1.1, the problem is when the camera zooms out and then i try to tag the character behaves stupid and lands on the wrong spot.. :(

Hi i don't use zoom in mugen 1.1 I guess this will work good, can I have the tag team version 3.0 if this is possible ? Really I want test it in my screenpack.. I appreciated :)

This thing patched my characters with "\" instead of "/"!!

Why?!

Oh well, I'm only trying it with two characters for now.

First of all I wanna say this is the best add-on ever made for mugen. But I have 2 questions.. 1 I'm having trouble witch characters by buckus, are they compatible? Mayb there is a chance these characters are compatible with the tag system but there is a error in the coding. Also characters by zero-sennin like cvs Leona the system patches her but she is unable to tag or assist. Plz help!

Here is my problem:
Error message: Undefined command label: "c".
Error parsing triggerall
Error parsing State-1 tag
Error in statedef -1
Error loading p1
 Happens to me when i play with deadpool but there are also other errors when i also play other chars help ?
I also shortened up the whole error so that's not all in the typed in the error.
