Sub Zero AND Scorpion!? DUDE!! two of my all time favorite classic MK Characters. Nice.

I'd like to add that it's great to see classic fighters getting treatment from you. I always find it refreshing to have an entire roster from the same author for consistency's and accuracy's sake. Keep rockin' out the solid releases. You're doing one hell of a job. :2thumbsup:

You coded the spear all wrong.

1: If Scorpion spears someone but is hit at the same time, the spear drops its target down. It doesn't continue to drag them in.

2: Scorpion is not invulnerable when dragging someone in with the spear. He can get hit and if he does get hit while dragging someone in, the spear will drop its target down.
All in all, the spear cannot trade

3: If Scorpion enters an aerial state (This includes jumping and the teleport punch) while the opponent is stunned from the spear, the opponent immediately wakes up from the stun. This is to stop loops like this


I don't know why everyone gets this wrong. It's actually pretty visible when playing around in Mortal Kombat :/

I'm also under the impression that people keep neglecting data from the game, do you guys know how PotS made his original characters? He actually studied every single game he referenced, down to the core. Doing this properly requires understanding how the original system was made, not just winging it.

Though you fixed the part where scorpion/reptile is supposed to be hittable during the drag-in state, you did not fix the part where the opponent immediately recovers from the spear's stun state if you enter an air state while your opponent is stunned.

Also Reptile can infinite by freezing and then spearing over and over.

I'm also under the impression that people keep neglecting data from the game, do you guys know how PotS made his original characters? He actually studied every single game he referenced, down to the core. Doing this properly requires understanding how the original system was made, not just winging it.

Yeah, that´s a problem. I know that Reptile could freeze you and then hit you with the spear, but I think he couldn´t re-freeze you while p2 is still in his spear stun...

I´m not sure if Reptile could "double ice backfire" himself. Dunno if he can´t shoot another ice blast while p2 is still frozen or it just releases p2 from the freeze with a very slight amount of damage.
I´ve never seen a Reptile "double ice backfire", but like I said I could be wrong...

I just tried it on revision 4.0 and you're still right, the spear stun is not canceled by entering air states in the first Mortal Kombat. It's the later Mortal Kombat games where they noticed "Oh Scorpion can totally do infinite punch jump-spear loops we should expire the spear stun if he jumps". I'll have my eye out on you when you get to the Mortal Kombat 2 and 3 versions of these characters.

Is it OK to have infinites, just because they're source accurate? The fact that these things were fixed in later MKs shows that it was just a mistake on the programmers side. IDK though, I'm just saying.

loving this so far (been waiting years to play as mk1 reptile without all the dumb custom moves), i have one minor superficial suggestion that i just thought of though

i was picturing his intro to be that YOU FOUND ME message and beating him for good (as in the last round) would have a message popping up saying the opponent won 100,000 points or whichever

also completely dumb question but i have to ask: are you planning to make mk3 noob saibot (the pitch-black kano) because i thought of that the other day and was amused at the idea of him being done accurately
