the blue color scheme in the MFG banner now is too vivid compared to the subtley greyish tone of the new layout. and maybe a bit too big and overlaying other elements as well.I like the new layout BTW, except that in the chess section where my browser not really compatible in showing the table.I also like that thread starter is now placed under the topic title instead of in special column.

In Firefox the transparent part of the logo is white.The whole upper area could use some reconfiguring I guess. The news being tucked on the right kinda gets lost in terms of attention.
