Hi everyone, is there a way to update waaay outdated explodes/ sprites ? Trying to make two characters, one from KOF and the other from SFA and I want to give the projectiles a brighter, cvs look, can anyone help me out, either by tutorial or just helpin out?

get new sprites ,or edit the ones you have. nothing more nothingless.
either process is work, because editng you'l need a graphics program, and both you'll need to add them in .sff and .air
no easy way out.

Load each sprite in Photoshop, put it against a black backdrop, blur filter the hell out of it until it's a formless, gassy mess, flatten it, repaletteize it, making sure that the pure black backdrop is the transparent index, reload it into the SFF without a shared palette, and use the additive transparency. Voila.

some effects blurred dont look good
besides sharpness is kewl O:

yes i know i said the same stuff in 2 diferent ways O:

but anywayz i usually diffuse the inner parts to give and then blur the edges to make it look rounder

Thanks for the help, photoshop is ok, but it doesnt look that great when you try to filter it, and blurr tool. Will try that first and then to modify the existing sprite base.
