I found a bug, reported it, instead of fixing it val decided to disable it.

unnecessary load for the server, and attachments (including avatars) are not really implemented very well in smf.. :(

there's always $random_imageservice :P

Wasn't uploading avatars disabled in the old Guild in the first place? I know I caught the habit of Imageshacking them from here (which is absolutely fine)...
