Okay, I'm about at my wit's end. I have direct linked to a picture of the correct size (haha, nope the size was INCORRECT, fail on my part) from my dropbox AND my photobucket accounts, and yet, it still will not accept the image as my avatar from either site. The only thing I can think of is that the direct links don't have "www" in the url.

So tell me, do I seriously have to sign up for another account on ANOTHER site just to put an avatar on here? I'll feel stupid, but I'd be glad if I am just overlooking something and can upload from dropbox or photobucket.

I do not have an imageur account so I guess I'll sign up for that if need be, but I need to know what will work before I try anything else!

Photobucket should work just fine. I think.

Anyway, without any need for registration, upload your avatar to imgur.com
Then choose the link looking like this : http://i.imgur.com/XXXXXXXXX.png
Go to your profile and post this url at the correct place. Your avatar should appear.

Jeez, it was indeed just too big. Which confuses me a little since I thought I had read on one topic that it could be up to 150X150, but I dropped it down to 97X100 and uploaded just fine. Bleh, stupid stupid me.

Thats happened to me before too, even with the right size, it will say it's too big.  It's really annoying.  For some weird reason resizing to 1 pixel smaller seemed to work.
I think so, but isn't Regis Philbin already married?

Hmm... so it had been that the width was slightly too much? Geez. Haha, well, you live, you learn.
