Messatsu said, July 24, 2009, 02:19:53 amThat's probably something a "lesser" person can do. Val probably doesn't want to do something tedious like that. If you're interested, I can make you mod of this board until you finish it.A section 10 pages long and organizing a thread almost 150 pages long - meh, I can handle it if you think it's worth it to hand over the command priviledges to do it. I won't be in the country during the next week though (and likely won't access the net during that time), if that counts for anything.
If the font mod is too troublesome just disable the color tags entirely, would only be missed by the same people that'd get the title anyway.
But doing that on date along might make each year's split topic starter someone other than an admin, which could get troublesome. Also: ooh, shiny new/old commands! Off to get some initial work done here.
ok, true. "split by post by an admin closest to a newyear" is quite difficult, probably faster manually

"split by post by an admin closest to a newyear" is quite difficult, probably faster manually Not to mention making sure the intial post is at least mildly relevant.Speaking of which, IIRC the Valodim thread(s) have quite a few post mentioning things like updates to the forum software - I was considering splitting those off if there's enough of them not essential to undertand the posts around them, and have them in their own topics - then perhaps have those moved to the announcements section. But then the following posts of that kind might need to be done there, as I'd be unable to split future posts from here and have them merged to a thread in a different section.
we might need the edit/delete restriction subclass to be applied to anyone with less than X posts.http://mugenguild.com/forumx/index.php?topic=102343.0http://mugenguild.com/forumx/index.php?topic=102373.0to avoid tantrums. I hate coming back to threads to find that they no longer makes sense.I guess that would help out also when vyx decides to shed his current skin.
Iced said, July 25, 2009, 11:46:27 amwe might need the edit/delete restriction subclass to be applied to anyone with less than X posts. Not by postcount, encourages spam.I've been t a forum where you can only start posting a few days after registering, thus enforcing in the forum code a "lurk moar!" mode - seems more reasonable as a way to make people think twice before posting for the first time, and they can spend the post-registering time searching for relevant similar topics/posts.
I might be late, but what the fuck is that ???http://mugenguild.com/forumx/index.php?action=profile;u=49990

Just No Point said, July 29, 2009, 01:47:31 pmDawww, you really took his admin status?...whatever gave you that idea?
I know a conspiracy when I see it. I didn't even mention who took it. You fell right into my trap with your guilt. Gosh I is so smart.I will now celebrait my massife intellekt by Oshky ranting and useng colored funts. WEEEEEE
I removed them. While I did a few small things here and there that require admin permissions, I really didn't do that much that often. I should technically have the donator and network member status, but I don't care.
Must be some SMF bug, but since removing my admin status, I've noticed that the thing in my profile never shows that I'm online. I also don't show up in the Users Online list at the bottom of the index page.
