Contributor > Investor.Contributor = You do more stuff other than leeching...help/keep the community alive with random releases, bug reports, sprite packs and whatnot.Investor sounds almost like a fast and easy way to make up for your leeching..or not...whatever, you get it.

I resent that. And, if you don't want that title, just mention that you don't want it whilst making the donation.Besides, if some leechers felt compelled to give something back and donated, they'd be at least worth something here.

And you already act like you're the cock of the walk. He's dead right. As useless as the Contributor title may be, it's better than Investor by one helluva lot.Where do you get "cock of the walk" from? And I plan to donate more than $1 later on. EDIT: And where did I in my post say that investor > contributor?
You want an example? there you go:cong100 said, May 02, 2005, 02:15:43 amHmmm.....not very flattering comments. I resent that. Okay fine, but i just don't think it's right to automatically associate "investor" as being negative. Ideally, every regular members ought to donate and that would include the contributors, form staff members, mugen creators ...etc.EDIT: btw, if i have in anyway shown to be a "hot-shot" because of that "investor" title as kung fu man seemed to have accused me of, then by all means, take away my "investor" title. I'll still post like I have always, regardless of title or no title (though i've never posted like a "hot-shot"). I got it because i was offered for the donation, not asked. And even if it is only $1, i've already pledged to be a regular donor. Plus, the point of me of only donating $1 is to show that everyone is capable of donating at least this much in a month and would encourage others to follow suit. As far as the accusation of "me not contributing," i respectfully disagree. As I've mentioned earlier, I like what this place stands for, and I want to help keep it going, and that's why I: 1. lobbied to have a creation of a donation link visible where everyone can see it 2. pledged to be regular donor on a monthly basis. These 2 things aren't contributions (however small it seems?)? It doesn't directly have anything to do with MUGEN, BUT understand that running a site like this for Val is a hobby, not a job. One day he might get tired of it, and money will always, always be a consideration for him to shut this place down. I'm sure all of us would like to delay that as long as we can within our power.
ok stop this bullshit. the investor title is just a little acknowledgement, and more or less all I can give for donations, I see no sensible reason to associate it with anything negative.and you guys are the right ones to talk about others "behaving like a bigshot", really.I don't need donations, I didn't ask for them. Still, they are appreciated and I don't see anything wrong with that. One more thing, kfm asked me to change his title to investor, which I did (I mean, why not?). As long as you don't decide you want the other one back tomorrow, I can give you contributor back as well
Hey Val, i value my title and that is probably why, I guess, i might have overreacted a bit to some of the comments that were directed towards the title and me. (...In the form of long rants)another solution would be removal of the "investor" title and have only a colored star. (No support of black star? ) This way, those that donate would still keep their "superior" titles, and adding another star color would be the same as someone putting another medal on someone's neck amongst the other medals. It's totally up to you though.
I'd say investor as title with (black?) star, but contributor has higher prio (if you're both, contrib. is shown)
ok, reset one more time with default settings correct this time. check your settings for individual config
Haha. Will you please stop reseting the settings?I just had everything set back (and it seemed to work fine). XD
heh, now you say it...*shrugs* now that you've brought it up, anyways *links ppl in creator board to these posts*
