Ever since I played Tekken, I wondered how it would look like in 2D ('cause I prefer 2D games) and once this game is finished, I'll get my answer.

Cheers, In terms of status the majority are all playable and ready for beta. I have dedicated so much time trying to replicate the gameplay of tekken,, everything from frame data to move animations to hitflags and movetypes.  This has been one of the main reasons it has taken so long for a release. Also the fact that I keep revamping the sprites also is a factor.  :P

But the good news is I will be releasing the first beta in a matter of weeks. I think I have been procrastinating long enough.  So you'll be getting 3 characters and a screenpack with a bunch of versus stages.  After the public start testing characters I will probably start recruiting a team to further help with this project since 2 of my members aren't too active.

That sounds great man. The sprites are excellent as they are for sure. You can definitly speed this game with a team. I have a question about sounds. Are you using original voices for your characters or just for some?

Thanks, if you're a tekken fan you will not be disappointed. I think I have nailed the Tekken mechanics on a 2d plane. The only thing missing is a side step feature that I am experimenting on.

Hey mav when your done is there a character that you'd like to make for regular mugen

Yeah, I was thinking of converting Adriel to regular mugen since she is a non playable boss character in this project.

Yeah, a team would speed this up a hell of a lot which is why I want to recruit after the beta is out in a couple of weeks.
About the sound; some are original others aren't but I try my best to alter the sound in fruity loops and mess with the pitch so it has some kind of uniqueness.

Xi-yun zhang




So I've finished the revamped Xi-yun zhang aka Zhang xi-yun. The colourloss isn't too bad given the amount of detail especially in her tattoos. However I still had to lose a lot and deviate from her original design concept. Her tattoos on the left side are done in typical yakuza fashion whereas on the right she has script. Ironically her tattoos kinda represent her half Taiwanese -Japanese heritage.

Things I have or will alter from her original design for fairness.
-Xi-yun's chainsaw is longer in my concepts, I shortened it to reduce her range game.

-Xi yun regenerates but will not be able to in this project unless during a specific move.

-strength is nerfed especially since she wields a chainsaw (although really doesn't need to)

Updates: stage error

Thanks to the recently discovered instability of mugen 1.1 I will have to remove the zoom feature on some stages since I've been getting a shit load of random errors. These errors seemed to have come from nowhere, one minute the zoom was working fine now stages fail to load 80% of the time.
So yeah until I find a solution to this glitch I will be removing the zoom feature from certain stages since that seems to fix the problem.

it refers to the sff of either 1 of the characters or the stage failing to load. However when I remove the zoom feature the stage loads fine.

The fumetsu kaiju form will probably come as later sub-boss DLC.



Ms fukasawa's stage - Autumn In Red
The new Autumn In Red stage with no colourloss for 1.1.

The initial plan for this stage was to have it start off with yellow leaves and then turn red as the leaves fall from the trees.

i must say, you have a excellent taste for design. i simply love it.
is very rare to see someone with a talent like you.
