Ohhh, that looks real nice! It reminds me of one of Baek's moves. I forgot the command and what it was called though. Really impressive. By the way, will that be the final speed used in the game? The Mongolian Fist-Spin kick transition takes too long, in my opinion.

Thanks, no the actual speed varies. The move can be stalled for example after you land the Mongolians chops you can wait to lure the opponent into thinking she is vulnerable then execute. So the speed of the move depends on how fast you input it.

No wonder you were able to come up with a stance so cool. Your characters were some of the most interesting I have seen.  I really have no imagination when it comes to stances.

LOL I sense a collaboration coming on. . .I just suck at 3D modeling, rigging, and animating. . . . .for the moment. (secretly learning 3D.)

Do you have a character who takes the form of other characters? Because I was thinking there could be some kind of entity, like a failed experiment or deity, that uses the forms of other fighters while also using his own.

Yeah but she was removed from the roster.

Adriel updates
All adriel's basic movement and hit animations are now done including her unique flight animations






screen pack versus screen
Vs screen has been updated and as mentioned before this is not the full roster.


Khulan-update
started on khulan too. Her palettes came out well since there's room to experiment with variations.
her belt can also change colour.

I had to cancel bry due to my harddrive corrupting and not being able to access that portion of the drive to rescue him :bigcry:. Khulan carries an AK-47u though but then again she can also breath fire so I might not let her use it. I don't want to make characters projectile reliant.

This is definitely my favorite project so far.

Yeah woozy had the ability to morph into other characters or morph certain parts of her body to mimic moves. Too many people said she looked like that thing out of dead or alive so I thought I'd drop her and make a new boss.

She did kinda remind me of Alpha a little.

I was going to suggest two ideas to you at one point. One was of a monstrous type character named Raijuu who had lightning for a left arm and the rest was a minotaur type. The other was a rendition of Rapunzel where she uses magic and shoots her hair through magic portals to attack.

Both of them ended up seeming either too complicated or just odd to me xD.

Yeah I probably wouldn't have accepted those concepts they sound very projectile heavy. I really am trying to steer away from projectiles in this  fighting game unless they are managed in such a way that the startup times are prolonged and  has a major risk factor.

Rapunzel would have been a zoner yes, but no true projectiles. Her hair would have taken time to go through the portal and back out, making her vulnerable. But yes she would have been heavily ranged.

The Raijuu would have been very close ranged though. The lightning arm would be used for heavier blows which would take longer to perform the animation, making it a time-management character.

By the way, I also think that P. Jack's small portrait in the Select Screen looks out of place. His face is too zoomed out compared to the rest.

I wasn't really going for anything specific with the portraits and I wanted to fit p-jacks hat in.

Did you ever play an old psi game called bushido blade 2 one of those characters would have been awesome for this project meant to mention it sooner like after bane sooner. The bushido blade 2 Tatsumi.

Yeah I used to have bushido blade but I remember the characters having like 2 or 3 moves and a bunch of generic slashes. It was a cool game but I don't see any of those characters fitting into this project.

Adriel progress

I don't normally do short videos but I thought I'd show you fine folks some of Adriel's current progress


In this video I test the following:
-directional movement
- forward/backdash cancelling
-Battle cry taunt - which is also a bound attack
-flight animation

Future plans for Adriel
Later on I plan to give Adriel wave dashing functionality to enhance her potential for pressure and also because the wave dashing characters are my favorites :cool2:

Woozy isn't exactly canned I can see her making an appearance as DLC or maybe even a future boss if there's a sequel. Her stage is still in the project.
