Hmm, hey, why not Nathan "Radd" Spencer from Bionic Commando and Marvel vs Capcom 3?

He would actually fit well with characters from MGS and Tekken.

He has a pretty unique gameplay with his bionic arm (his wife's soul is inside it). He's not the fastest character around, but among the stronger ones. He can use his arm to reel in foes or reel himself TOWARDS foes to smash them right in the face. He can also use the arm to punch the enemies across the screen or knock them high up in the air, or just crash down like a comet. Oh, and he can swing across the screen with the arm too.

He only has two Hyper Combos in MVC3, and that is, Bionic Manouvers, a special where he uses a long string of combos using his bionic arm. And Bionic Lancer, a... well, a sliding Falcon Punch...

His story is that he was a member of a military group fighting terrorsim called FSA, his supervisor, Super Joe, had perfected a special experiment to create bionic bodyparts for soldiers, and Spencer was the first one. He did'nt know that the catalyst to make the arm work was someone who had a strong link to that person, ie, his wife. He fought against an uprising army of Neo-Nazis called the Imperials, and destroyed them and their leaders Generalissimo Killt, and Master-D (Hitler revived).

But afterwards, he was assigned leader of a special forces group of Bionics, which ended in catastrophe with him being one of the few survivors, to make matters worse, the catastrophe had made him the cover black sheep of the public, and he was trialed for crimes he did not commit, and put on deaths row. He suddenly had his chanse for redemption when he was called in by Super Joe for one last mission after an entire city had been ruined by a massive bomb launched by a new terrorist faction known as BioReign.

I think he might just work. But which design would work best?

I have had to face many pathetic scrubs online using nathan in their team before I gave my MVC3 back to the shop. I know pretty much everything there is to know about him and I absolutely hate the guy. I flat out refuse to make him.

Hmm, would a "miniature" robotic Metal Gear REX or RAY work? Like some sorta prototype for a mass production MG?

It would give Snake a good reason to yell "METAL GEAR"

Speaking of, there's this Arcade game where Jackie has 3 types of fighting techniques, called Fists of Fire, this one is The Drunken Master!

a tekken poll has been added and will end in 5 days, after this a soul calibur poll will be posted. A few more character slots are available so get to voting. If not then we'll decide which ones make the roster.

There have also been cuts and additions to the roster.

Considering how you're looking to implement characters from across the board, have you considered Li Long from Soul Edge/Blade?? Seeing Edge Master in there is sweet. Li Long is obscure and honestly, forgotten at this point thanks in part to Maxi.

Haha, love the Gogo idea. Her weapon was really cool, and she'll be a nice sadistic fighter. Be careful not to overdo her range ingame though, that can bring some real unbalanced shit.
Would almost make me want to see Beatrix Kiddo in the cast now, or better, the Chinese Master (but I recall one of your teammates hates Chinese martial arts, being the reason Ip Man didn't make it to the cast, or something like that).

I did like the look of p-jack, those shades were badass too. I might experiment with the jack idea and pay homage to his prototype counter part.

it will be a challenge to keep her range under control and the fact that gogo did not have other techniques besides that chained ball thingy doesnt leave much room to experiment. I will probably add some delay on her range moves like where shes kicks the spiked ball at her opponent.

chinese martial arts are fine. if he had a problem with that I would have argued for it myself. the only problem he has was with ipman lol since he wooped so much japanese arse. same as jet li in fist of legend.

The way I see Gogo fight would be a very defensive character
A very slow fighter in motion due to the momentum of her weapon, able to protect herself with her chained ball by making it spin in front of her, with counters and such.
She'd have mid range attacks with normal speed attributes and long range attacks with slow startup but fairly quick recovery time to not punish her too much.
She shouldn't have too many moves anyway, but feel more like Guile, who needs only 2/4 moves to win a fight.

Also, you could experiment and add other weapons to her arsenal, as she's a sadistic girl. She used a knife to stab an ugly boy in a bar IIRC.

My vote is for Kazuya, for the same reason that Saikoro said, and also Xiaoyu, i like her fighting sytle, but i'm so freaking stupid cuz' i just picked Kazuya and didn't pick Xiaoyu, and voted!

I had the same thing in mind. Slow and defensive. I'll probably throw in some evasive movement too.

as for the little knife she uses I could apply that to her light attack moves for some quick short range pokes.

looks like kazuya will most definitely be in the roster judging by the results. the other battle is out of nina and ogre.
the people voting for ogre should also specify which rendition, ogre or true ogre
