Is there a way to make the vs screen and vicory screen not skippable by key presses? i cant find any info regarding this. i would like to be have my mugen not be able to skip such screens.

Yes there is i just got done coding a custom vs
Screen today.

It happens during the intro state and its unskippable
I created a custom intro state 190 that last 1 tick with
A blank anim,  also included triggers for
Nobg, nofg, nomusic, timerfreeze.
This state then changes into my vs screen 191 after 1 tick
And my state 191 has ctrl=0 it last 400 ticks, its animated....
Ill just post my mugen with it soon so you can check it out
Your self,  i cant type this all out on my cell!
But yes its possible,  you can even code a custom loading screen
Before the vs screen with an anim of the next challenger or what ever

Huh, I thought there was no way to prevent RoundState 1.  Interesting.
I'm curious to know what part of your code prevents the intro from being skipped.

Its simple,  ill explain better how i did it,
My statedef 190 has a blank anim i made that last
1tick,  in my fight.def the start.wait time is set to 1 tick
Also.  My statedef 190 changestates into 191, (my vs screen)
It could also be an intro if you like. Roundstate 1 is done,
It lasted 1 tick,  way to fast for us to skip.

really? seems like a lot of work just to tell your controller no... the developers should add this as an option while 1.1 is still beta

Its really not hard to do, but
I would recomend it only for a full
Game.
I got the intro and vs screen coded in the
Common1.cns.
Character intros in the chars but renumbered,
And the blank anim in each char.
