Ok. Right click on your desktop. On the menu that follows, select Personalize. Finally, choose any theme other than the one you are using. Does that show your menu items then?
Wait, I installed a Mac OS X theme using Universal Theme Patcher. Not only does my PC look better now, it also removed the glitch!
