He actually studied every single game he referenced, down to the core. Doing this properly requires understanding how the original system was made, not just winging it.

Any TNMT TF char made by Kamekaze (I strongly recommend Raph, Mike, Don, Armaggon, Wingnut, C. Shredder, and for the fun of it... Rat King!)

1.- Nanaya Shiki (MBAC, MBAA or MBAACC, you choose) by 9.
2.- Sol Badguy by Muteki.
3.- Ryu by Phantom.of.the.Server.
4.- Alex by GM.
5.- Kyo by Sander 7113.

Honorific mentions: Kyo (older) by Ikaruga, Guy by PotS, Batsu Ichimonji by Race, Mukuro by HAL, Kyoudou Senna by SongFu, Ky Kiske by Muteki, Goku Z2 by Cybaster and Balthazar, Red Arcueid by 9, Strider Hiryu by Splode, Wolverine by Sander.

I think there should also be a "top 5 characters that NO ONE should download", but well.  ::)

generally speaking a good accurate character on every decent style is good to have; plus a few original ones that show what can be accomplished with mugen.
