HDMI to DVI-D is the way to go. Those cables range from $8 to $50...(Price solely depended by the length of the cable)

then get you a 2 piece PC speaker system ($20)

then get a RCA to male 3.5mm adapter ($1 to $10)

then get a 3.5mm female to female adapter (.50 to $5)

and of course an HDCP compatible 22 inch (or whatever size you prefer) PC monitor with a DVI connection. ($150 to $300 + warranty if your smart)

Put it all together then BAM! you got the same HD quality as if you were to play on a HDTV the cheap way on the PS3 in no time. A Helluva lot cheaper than spending $2,000+ on an HDTV thats for damn sure...i don't even wanna know how much the warranty is for those things.

I have this monitor. It's really great, and has a DVI input, so no need for all those cables, but the weak part is the sound... really bad if you ask me.

Warranty on $1600 TV was 10% for four years (mfg warranty was 1 year). Depends on where you buy it.
