I've been getting the same telemarketer call for two months now and I'm running out of ideas on how to mess with them. I've hung up on them, cursed them out, my roommate even declared me dead to them over the phone.....and they still call. My phone is directly next to the computer so the next time they call I'm gonna hold it up to the speaker and rickroll them, or play that elektronik supersonik song, just for the fuck of it.

And even still, they'll call back. Suggestions?

That doesnt work, Ive worked as a telemarketing caller, we just pretend that will do something and pass the call onto the database again with a flag that "shouldnt" make it surface again.





But it does.

I worked as a telemarketer for MDA for like a week. If we get no answer or voice mail it was our job to follow up every other half hour until someone answered the phone. If no one answered by the end of the day the numbers would recycle over to tomorrow, so someone else would pick up where I left off and bother them some more. I quit at the end of the week, couldn't bring myself to do that kind of work.

Best part on our database was that no number was considered "done with", they would just go back to the end of the cycle to be used up again as soon as the others had been checked.EVEN those that were made sales to.

Sounds just about as assbackwards as MDA - they made us follow up on disconnects, just incase a new business popped up and used the old number.

Only time it was considered okay to disconnect was when sexual propositions were being made from the other side, and even then they insisted you to be as nice as possible to the person propositioning you to go out later on for a fuck.
