Even Elecbyte said they forgot what it originally meant. Is it an acronym?? Or a euphemism?? Perhaps a shortened version of another word??

I like to think it's an acronym for Multi Use Gaming ENgine.

Thoughts??
All of your Mugen Portrait needs may be found HERE.

I'd like to report two robots on the MFG forums: One is EXShadow. The other is Saikoro.
There should be a Saikoro plugin for Photoshop.

Wow, I recall I read about it, but forgot as well.
Damn is the fact that search engines usually bring results unrelated to "M.U.G.E.N" (even if we put in quotes). For example, the character Mugen from Samurai Champloo appear in the search results, lol

Mugen is Japanese for 'Infinity'
It might mean that there are infinite creations you could add to it.

M.U.G.E.N actually had a full meaning, not just refering to the word "Infinity" for what I remember.

The only Mugen creator on this site without a "gay" purple name.  :-X

Little known FACT: If you use the equation, (z)velocity = (((x2-x1)^2 + (y2-y1)^2)^.5) / time and z = a small decimal number in mugen you can get something that follows something else. Useful for heat seeking missiles, black holes, magnet effects, a projectile aimed for an enemy's head... Seriously, try it! It's awesome!

Been more than 50 over the years.

Descriptions vary between clever and stupid, mostly stupid. Stick with No Limits.

In M.U.G.E.N there is no magic button

They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it's not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance.

LOL I think I'll stick to "No Limits."

I actually found out about Mugen through Hardcore Gamer back when it was in publication (Is it still now??). I remember opening up the Mag, and would you know it, a subscription leaflet was wedged right in the page featuring an article about Mugen. They actually mentioned it stood for "no limits." Cool stuff.
