What the Hell happened to game INTROS?!!!

I'm just fed up with the incessantly terribly shitty intros I see these days. I looked back on Tekken, Dynasty Warriors, Street Figher, etc. and became so bitter at how awful the intro music has gotten and how awful the quality of the intros are nowadays.

Tekken 5 DR to current               =               absolutely unentertaining
Street Fighter 4 to current          =               shit
SFxTekken                                  =               are you serious?
Tekken Tag 2                              =               disappointing!!
Dynasty Warriors 5 xtreme legends on =    What the hell Koei?!!

They're all a damn drain to watch - they don't make me...  WANT... to play... the games... at all!!!
I remember the late 90s into the early 00's era. Tekken 2,3, and tag had masterful, classy intros. They didn't spend too much time on the damn zaibatsu and made a point of showcasing individual characters in creative action clips. DW3's was just the epitome of awesome (after 25 seconds that is). Street Fighter Alpha 3's was fucking cool!! I miss intros like that. CvS1 and 2 were lackluster, but the MUSIC was catchy.

Jesus. These game corporations are dropping the bar. I'm disgusted - yuck, just yuck.

I'm as real as the runnin, I just happen to rap, Nigaas London, Japan, and i'm scared of dat tap.

I suggest extending my banning, cuz when I come back, it's gonna be hell. You think I was annoying before, oh man, it's on now :)

Oh yeah. BlazBlue had a great one. Just watched it an I loved it. Wish I was more into air combo/flashy games though. Might've seen it before.

That reminds me. Soul Calibur 2 had an interesting one. Had an eerie feel to it imo. The Original Final Fantasy DS intro was phenomenal. Kingdom Hearts one and two had awesome advertisements as did GTA-SA (OMG!). Simple and Clean was my dish. AND BLOODY ROAR 2 owned all!

Oh the truthful irony of it all. I still love it. Maybe because I love the BGM so much.

Some games had awesome intros many years ago
Some have awesome intros today

Its not a matter of yesterday or today.

Still..it is my opinion as well that the Soul Edge/Blade and Tekken 2 Intros are outstanding examples and that they have a class which is rarely reached by other fighting games

Streetfighter and KOF never had really good intros...my favourite Intro from SNK fighting games was the animated one from Fatal Fury 3.

yup..maybe thats why i like it..from the start of the music to the angry looking heihachi climbing up the cliffs

i dont believe fully it but i hope that wiiU tekken might be a remake/combination of tekken 1-6 ..maybe i will bring back that intro in some form too :)
