So when do you think it is best to just press ESC?  For me it is when I play Team Arcade and come up against Faust by Muteki and Skullomania by DEMAN, simultaneously.   Another bad combo is Slayer and Slayer at the same time..
First I was like: -_-
Then I was like: FUUUUUUU

I press ESC whenever I fail to get a correct intro while recording a match and sometimes while playing in the Arcade mode, bumping into some OverPowered characters >_<

You can just press F4 to reset the match and trigger a different (or same) intro.

And if you want to evade overpowered characters, just use the "order" from the select.def and make sure the overpowered has a number that will never appear.

I press ESC when I'm finished with training mode.

Or I'm dissatisfied with the palette choices.

I press ESC when I realize that I chose the wrong character or stage.

Unless it's arcade mode...

ESC after testing a character in Training Mode to then switch to VS and try it there (to see if power regenerates and other stuff that is not possible to test in Training).

  • You ugly! We fix!
When playing against POTS characters (Zzz) unless of course they can be toned down via 1.0 difficulty settings (can they be? I'm too lazy to test lol)
These palettes better make me cum rainbows when I see them.

Err... Options>Difficulty>"Choose whatever you want"? 1.0 characters difficulty can be changed inside MUGEN, no need to do anything complicated.

And you say that POTS characters are boring, yet you're asking to tone down the difficulty. Doesn't make sense.

Naw dude, not boring... just boring when I get my ass handed to me lol

I like a challenge but I didn't realize that the default difficulty setting was 8 AKA no chance in Hell lol

But thanks, I was using them before switching to 1.0 and didn't quite realize that the settings could be changed just by switching the difficulty in options around!

W00t! I can play again!  :o

After I have finish playing, got annoyed by a certain character whose AI is cheap and keep losing to it, seeing a few missing characters in my select screen which I forgot to put in the character folder into the chars folder or put the name in my select.def

  • Possibly doing nothing right now.
  • When I'm done playing/testing a character.
  • When I'm done checking if I positioned background layers correctly, since they tend to hide the power bar. :P
  • When I'm done checking if I looped a BGM perfectly or not.
  • When I get bored of watching AI duke it out, hoping that they'll pull of something weird for me to post as a screenshot.

For me, I would say when I either come across a cheap character towards the end of arcade mode or when I'm finally bored.
All of your Mugen Portrait needs may be found HERE.

I'd like to report two robots on the MFG forums: One is EXShadow. The other is Saikoro.
There should be a Saikoro plugin for Photoshop.

I usually press ESC once I notice a bug or when a incomplete character appears at random in arcade mode during recording.
I also use ESC when a private character appears in the recording, the authors of several characters which I've been testing requested me to not record mugen matches of them, so that's why.
