Also, this isn't about how well characters are coded, because if it was, it'd be a What Character is Coded the Best thread.

I value sprites more than effects, so my favorite ones are the profesionally made kof ones, with the cvs ones coming in second place. Hardly any edited characters can compare to them.

Yep, i've guessed that Reu's trio would be mentioned over and over again.

Actually, what i mean about "graphics" isn't only about the flashy beams or hadokens, but also the smoothness of movement, combo-chaining ability, the makes you have fun seeing those features, whether it's their beams, or their gameplay combos...should i rename this topic to 'What Character is Coded the Best' instead? That is, if i can rename a thread anyway (i'm a noob)

You can rename a topic by editing the title in your first post. Although.......i don't recommend that title as it may bring out more than you expect and will probably stray away from your seemingly harmless question.

Dragon Claw and Goku by Toskomics are the 2 winners.

Then come Lucy Fernandez by On.Off, Mawime by Ryanide, Kuando and Ella by Aiduzzi, Yoko by Warusaki3 and Kabao, Sandman, Thor and WonderWoman by Loganir and Cie, and finally Rikard's stuff.
POTS and Vyn are very good with effects.

Dragon Claw hands down. Such Fluid animation and effects, this on top of the coding and Ai already built in.

I could also mention a number of SNK characters (never was a big fan of KOF though), but I'd rather not list them all. Many of the SNK character had incredibly animation, that when done right was carried over to mugen to great effect.

I was really blown away by Lucy Fernandez.

I've never seen an original SNK style character like that before... animation that rivaled SNK themselves, and a moveset that was genuinely original.  I guess when I look at graphics, I look at how much heart and soul went into the creation of the character.

Some mugen creators astonish me to this day...

if your computer needed an update for that, then your computer needed to be updated for almost any other thing...

my vote goes to the characters of a creator now in the shadows (ie:he's not making anything for mugen today AFAIK)

smooth anim, good sound, good programing and decent AI

Lucario by Luis is pretty graphically fit IMO. nice hit sparks sprites portraits etc....

dragon claw is not just visually good, he's coded good + he was made from scratch
same goes with maxime.
Both win hands down, or claws in dragon claw's case
