UltraSonic50 said, October 04, 2007, 12:56:45 pmWhy is the Street Fighter Online an insult to MUGEN?Because of people like you who ask.
1. They are charging money for a game someone else designed (Capcom)2. They make people download spyware to play with a stolen character (Reu's Evil Ken)3. They are denying they stole the sprites from Reu and deleting all proof from their forums while its clear to see that they are literally the same (check out youtube for a comparison)4. They deny that that they are making money with this game and that the VIP ''donations" are only used to keep the server alive, however "donations under $10 arent worth it".

ok its bad but im a mugen lover but didn't we allmost do the same thing but with out the money ordeal ???but u know all this ing is not going to get us anywhere so lets beat them at there own game tee hee
no point we aren't at war with SFO we are just pissed off that they slapped Reu in the face basically and then continue to deny it plus destroy any evidence on their side of the action. The only beef with them is that they took something from one of us (Reu) and used it without telling that person and therefore without permission and then made money off of it. Reu's Capcom based stuff is considered fanart in Capcom's eyes and he would probably be sued if he tried to make money off of it. They took his fanart and made money off of it.As a side effect of this, last I heard, Capcom is supposedly gathering info and getting lawyers together to pursue SFO in court (lawsuit Capcom vs. SFO) which will most likely lead to a cease and desist order resulting in the termination of all SFO operations. Our community (mfg and possibly others on other boards and maybe even people on the SFO side or unrelated third parties) may hold some responsibility for the lawsuit happening due to people sending emails to Capcom pointing out how SFO is making money off of Capcom's stuff. No further action needs to be taken against SFO IMHO. If you want to go to "war" with SFO we have already won, since Capcom is possibly suing them which will probably lead to them being terminated. I hope I summed it all up and answered any questions as to the situation.

read my post, it is above yours, there is no need for you to "beat them" they are more or less beaten already.
I stopped watching that video half way through. Most of it's circumstantial evidence, and they're stating their suspicions as fact.Anywho, all Capcom has to do is prove that SFO is making money. With the current situation, that $500,000 could very well be put somewhere for use on the website maintenance, and not profit. It shouldn't be incredibly hard to prove that they're spending the money for other things, if they are, though. Capcom probably has good lawyers. If they are just using it for the website... then that website's gonna be up for like 10 years even without a single new donation
@UltraSonic:it's cool look at the timestamp we posted at roughly the same time it would have been impossible to read my post before you posted.but since the forum warns you when new posts are made while you are posting yours you probably could have read it.I doubt SFO made themselves a not for profit organization. They make money off of it even if they are operating at a loss, which someone from their camp claimed, they can still be hit with any kind of suit Capcom wants to file.

Also, if the SFO didn't stole the sprites from Reu and the warehousers didn't warehouse all his characters especially Dragon Claw, Reu creates and releases characters whatever it is public or private and Dragon Claw will possibly be release in the public.
Does it matter that they stole the sprits anymore?or is it the money thing thats the main problemor is it that there makin money off the sprites
UltraSonic50 said, October 06, 2007, 02:42:43 amOh sorry, i am not so fluent in englishIn any case, All three of Reu's characters are public.
