Window shrinks, but resolution won't shrink with it?

  • Wurd.
Hey guys. I'm still pretty green with Mugen (literally, like less than a week of experience here) but I've managed to build the basic Mario stage in Cybaster's extremely helpful Complete Stage Creation Tutorial. Stages are a blast to play with. I'm having some issues though.

The default resolution is 1280x720. I have a fairly dinky 17" screen, so the widescreen nature of that resolution makes the edges go off both ends of my monitor. So when I switch the resolution down to 1024x768 (my desktops' natural resolution) it just shrinks the Mugen window a little and off-centers it so a good portion of the game gets rendered outside the right end of the screen and I can't see it. Putting "1" on the Fullscreen mode doesn't help either. Is there another variable I need to adjust so the whole screen gets rendered differently, and not just shrink the window edges?

Oh! Also... I tried to create my own stage .sff with Fighter Factory (NOT Ultimate) but the game won't register my stage in the Stage Select menu. It only sees stage0.sff and kfm.sff and nothing else. I can't tell what I'm doing wrong there either.(e: fixed) Thanks a ton in advance, and sorry I'm such a n00bin.  ;P

I'm using MUGEN 1.00 RC7 (2010.03.20)
"Oh, I'm onto your game, De Nils. Diamonds are worthless other than the value attached to them by the silly tramps you have brain washed into thinking that diamonds equal love. Well, guess what? Your quest for the perfect princess cut supports terrorism and genocide. Congratulations, your avarice has managed to destroy an entire continent!"
