Hey all,I'm having a problem using MUGEN. I can start the game, but I cant select to a character to play with. It just doesnt do anything? I'm using 32bit Windows 7 and the latest version of MUGEN (i think). Thanks in advance!
So you can enter the character select screen fine, but you can't select a character? Did you modify it in any way before-hand? Are you using a keyboard or a gamepad?

Im starting to think I dont have the most up to date version of the game!Im using a keyboard and i checked the keys in the options menu, they all seem to be ok!Thanks for the reply!
Home32 said, August 22, 2010, 08:14:59 pmKFM and KFM720? Are they both guys with blue headbands?Yes that is correct!Maybe some one could post a link to the latest version of MUGEN? I'm really starting to think I might not have the most up to date version of the game :/Cheers for your help so far, I appreciate it!

Eh, nooooo. That's not right. The only thing you should get is the MUGEN .zip file; not some extra "downloader program". Type in the site and try downloading it again.

You already said your controls checked out right? And you made sure your pressing one of the attack buttons right?
Okay, so you open up MUGEN, you go to options to configure your keys (default for P1 is ↑ ↓ ← → ,(a) .(b) /(c) l(x) ;(y) '(z) Enter(start) by the way), go to the select screen and press a button (not start) and you still can't select the highlighted character.I'm stumped.
You see... i also have Windows 7 and that doesn't happens to me.Try downloading a screenpack that you like, and some chars that aren't KFM... try with one Street Fighter char, for example. If that doesn't works, then i'm on white...Or, maybe your windows 7 is a beta, check if the windows is compillation 7600(or whatever is writed...)I hope this helps you.
when you press one of the attack buttons, do you hear a sound? if not, the character wasn't selected. then you pressed the wrong button.if this is the case, try every other button till you hear a sound and then it's selected. after that you should check your configuration. like you already mentioned:optionsinput configuration*press f1* (then the first row is highlited and you can change the buttons)i think, you looked at the wrong column. the left column is the meaning and the right side is the button on your keyboard.hope, this solves your prob.
