So here's the link ladies and gentlemen, which I think is guaranteed to entertain:My MUGEN Marriage ProposalI'm uploading a screen capture of just the animation, too, which I'll link as soon as it finishes.
this is so cute dude ,congratulations that must be the longest special I´ve ever witnessed in mugen hahah
Dude that was the most creative thing ive seen done in here. congrats man. May you guys live a long and healthy life.
Thank you everyone! We are both very happy and very excited Now, back to business! For your enjoyment, here's a clip showing Jailbot's first special, along with his first win poseMinigun special - the damage will be adjusted later onWin Pose - The music will be randomly selected from a few different clips.*Edit* wow, is it just me, or is my fraps recording crazy glitched out?I'm working on coding his second winpose which I think is a unique idea, but is proving to be very difficult... essentially I need to take control of P2 throughout RoundState 4. I have this figured out for the most part but there's a few kinks to work out.
Requesting more feedback Wondering how else I could improve this new win pose that I just finished up.Thanks Ryon for your reply in my help topic! It nudged me in the right direction! Enjoy!Jailbot's Sympathetic win poseComments:-Apparently, the Ice Cream projectile can't be positioned relatively to P2 during the win pose. In debug, it says that P2 is invalid/does not exist. So, currently it's just a fixed-position animation; P2 will always be moved to the same position during the first cut-scene, always walk left, always with an x velocity of 2, and always get hit in the exact same place. I'm hoping someone has a suggestion/workaround to fix this. -For those wondering, this pose will be "activated" by a VarRandom that I put in State -2 (which triggers at the beginning of each round). This variable will be checked by the "winpose selector" in State 180, and will also determine if the helper should trigger to put P2 into the custom state.-In the video, the helper that sent P2 into the custom state was just a crappy placeholder. I was able to make it work correctly by adding a "kill" attribute to all my character's hitdefs, which checks if the variable I mentioned above is "activated". IF IT IS, none of Jailbot's attacks will kill p2 - instead, the helper will when p2life <= 1. If the variable is not active, Jailbot's attacks will kill normally....in other words, this win pose took A LOT of effort to make it work.
I dont know the show, but these animations are really well made an presented, not to mention hilarious!Your char is raising my interest about the show, i think ill give it a watch soon

When he loses to Red Arremer?Ill look into this! Thanks everyone for your comments / support / good wishes for a happy marriage Progress might slow down a little until we figure out the venue and the date, but Im thinking up some more awesome ideas which Im looking forward to adding in! Still lots of cool things on the horizon
MrPr1993 said, July 04, 2014, 06:00:17 pmI was thinking of the one where Jailbot appears in the Season 4 episode "Superhell".If you're talking about the Frankenstein-like creatures that are a jigsaw puzzle of the various characters' body parts... I don't think I'll be motivated enough to animate something THAT detailed!I came in to post that I've decided to redo all of Jailbot's sprites. I thought up a multiple step process to edit the 3D exported sprites, in order to make the style of the new version fall somewhere inbetween the 3D and my original style. Now that I have this 3D model to work with, it's just become unbearable for me to continue making new sprites, knowing that all my other ones are so inconsistent in proportions and perspective. In the cartoon he is drawn very differently in every scene, so I really just tried my best to work with the reference material I had available at the time.I also personally prefer this more angular look to him. In the long run, this is actually going to save me a lot of time. For each frame I just need to trace a few outlines, clean up a few stray pixels and apply some palette adjustments. With the new palette, his body frame will be grey-scale (aside from the grate thing on his chest), so custom palettes should be a bit easier even though he now has much more detailed shading on his side. And as I've said before, it now takes virtually seconds to pose the 3d model and render a base sprite. This makeover will probably take about 2 weeks.I'm going to keep his arms and hands as they were originally.NewOldFeedback always welcome! Oh, and I also made a little tutorial on how to control P2 through a win pose, as in the video I posted about a week ago. Hope someone finds it useful!
I'm way late to the party, but this looks really nice. I like the colors of the new one better, but the stance of the old one. Just the fact that you can sprite in general is enough to make me envy you, lol. Keep up the good work.
