So for the past 3 years or so I've uploaded my videos at 480p, and now a handful of them are only available in 360p at highest. This sucks ass considering that I don't have backups of all my videos and now all these have just decided to deteriorate in quality. I guess its the VHS curse striking back.

But yeah, anyone else having this problem? There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. Just random videos of mine.

Aparently yes.

That video resolution was of 850x480 and the 480 resolution option seem unavalible.

For some reason, my latest video removed 480p as well as 720p.
And why the fuck does popular/partnership YouTubers have that option? Really that's BS.

Same here. For whatever reason, 480p and 1080p options don't even appear in the quality dropdown menu.

Fake edit : it seems like it's related to DASH playback (I was using YouTube Center to disable it.)

Disabled

Enabled

Dash playback eh? Where exactly do you go to enable that?
Nevermind, I downloaded Youtube Center and enabled it. Damnit..

Same problem. Its as if the videos were never 480p to begin with. The option is just totally gone.

If you're using the HTML5 player, try switching to the Flash player. Only the 360p and 720p options were available to me for the video I took my screenshots from when using the HTML5 player.
