Captain Commando's gameplay was re-introduced to have a balanced gameplay against CVS charas... and the FX were adapated to the fit style. Full screen specials (QCF+P Fire, QCB+P Explosion) were turned into DMs.

Interesting approach, it's like a completely different chara.

Wow, I've never expected that you ever would do a Captain Commando in CvS style :o

I just tried him out, Its a completely new type of character, MvC sprites, CvS gameplay, Its like your Hayato.
I also like the voice you used for him, I've never liked that one from MvC :P

Everything so far.... I love it. It's not like Hayato. Definitely not like your Jill, which inspired me to create. It's better. The effects, moveset... Everything. You changed his gameplay and made it work. Heck, I wouldn't have thought of any of this, and I considered making a Captain Commando myself...


Although there is one idea I do have: For Captain Strike, you could have him able to go into an aerial rave like Kyosuke's DF+HK in CvS2.



I know it may seem a bit quick, but may I use your edits for my project? You simply did a much better job on Captain Commando than both Vans and I could have ever done.

Guy joins in for Captain Storm like in NxC haha, so cool. ;D

Hm, the launcher special looks like something that could be just a command normal.  Captain Kick shouldn't lift dust when done in the air.
Uppercut super could probably activate Captain Sword instead. Forget I said this, I just saw where you used it and love it. :D

I tested the character. I really recommend it to people who liked Captain Commando in MvC, but also like CvS game-play any much better than MvC game-play; I know I do and I enjoy this character a lot. It feels a notch better than his other characters for some reason but that may just be because I have an attachment to captain commando.

I also usually don't keep these grooved characters(expect for zero and this) due to the grooves but this one will be one of the only exceptions; just mentioning to stress how ridiculously awesome this character is.

Nice effects too and the voice was a nice surprise. As you can expect nice speed, nice hitpauses and everything from kabe. Could be described as perfect. Saw a minor issue with the dust appearing during "Captain Kick" while in the air. Nothing else, at all.

Easily one of the best non-CvS character to CvS character conversions I played with. Although I kinda miss Captain Sword has a separate move, it does make for a cool finisher for Captain Storm.
