What does this have to do with MUGEN or the goings on with the forum? Is stuff like this and the majority of the rest of the "news" quotes really needed?

Is this a general forum or a MUGEN forum?
Look at it from the perspective of a new-comer. It isn't helpful in their desire for knowledge of MUGEN.

Obviously, but why have general comments in the news section?
I'm sure someone could be a little more creative with appropriate filler. How about directing people to useful threads like Cybastard's stage tutorial?

you might want to cut down on the insightful quotes now that there are things worthy of the news ticker (such as elecbyte updating mugen or launching a wiki)
