« on: November 03, 2009, 11:39:30 AM »
Well I finally figured out how to use stage thumbnails, but theres a slight problem, all the stage pics line up right like this:

but for some bloody reason the position of the random pic looks like this:

WHY?  ???

You missaligned it in the font ??

Well, I don't think so, there are 34 stages in mka, plus my custom random stage pic, that's 35(all are 420 X 336). The first font starts in pixel 0 and width 420, and i add the pixel in increments of 420 until the last pic which is the random pic(starts in pixel 14280 width 420)

Font factory btw.

Well, it's a fact that you do have the sprite for random that comes out at the wrong position. So take the problem the other way around : if you placed it correctly, you change the font and tell it that the random image starts more on the left than it really does. We'll see where it places it and what appears on the left of the image wwhen displayed on the screen.

:omg: You made the font, right ? Well, change it so that the character you assigned to the "random" image starts a little more to the left than it really does.

Oh sorry, and yes I made it, if you mean changing the values in the start in box in font factory then I tried, but still nothing, is it possible to just remove the random stage selector in mugen?

What ? You changed the font so that the random image would show more on the right, and it didn't change anything ? If you manually screw up the alignment of the image (either by changing the value in the text definition or by moving the sprite in the image file), does it actually not move ? Are you sure you're modifying and viewing the right file ? I've barely ever done anything on font files but I'm pretty sure this isn't supposed to happen. If you take the image that is currently displayed and move it around, the display should move, otherwise it's not displaying what you think it is. At most, it's trying to display something that isn't really there and that isn't actually the sprite you're touching, but if the sprite is partly showing (by mere coincidence or something), then moving the sprite around should move the display.
AFAIK it's not possible to remove the "random" line in stage selection.

Yes I'm sure I'm modifying the right file.
