I only tested this one because I saw your post in the recycle bin and wanted to see if you fixed your tiling problem. 
I'm glad to see that you did. 

Anyway, one thing to keep in mind when dealing with layerno =1 background images is that it is a good idea to have a copy of the sprite placed behind the fighters also. 

Certain characters remove layerno = 1 stage items when performing super moves and when that happens you can get the background smear effect momentarily.

Ah, I see what you mean. In this case I decided to update it to simply have that layer set to layerno = 0, just because I realize the ceiling looks ugly as a foreground for such a tiny stage. But in the future I'll keep what you said in mind.
