Here is my first original stages. Each of these took about 36 hours to illustrate, separate, and code. They are really bare bones right now... I plan on adding audiences into these scenes later on.

These pictures below are composites of the pieces. Read the descriptions to understand the parts.

French Countryside in Day (Unreleased Character's Stage)

Composed of 4 layers, Sky, middle-ground buildings, bridge-linked buildings, and the close guard rail (It overlaps).
Download Here

French Countryside at Night (Unreleased Character's Stage)

Composes of 4 layers, same as above, except it uses frame based animated lighting.
Download Here

The Dusk of Australia (Tye's Original Stage)

Composed of 6 layers, sky, animated ocean, background buildings, very small detail layer, arena, and an animated lamp post.
Download Here

Abandoned Australian Shore (Tye's Second Stage)

Composed of 6 layers, animated sky, lighthouse & middle-ground, animated trees, animated ocean, trail, and animated grass.

Illuminated Australian Shore

Composed from the one above, added tranparent haze, rotating light and reflections. The image above doesn't give much justice.

You are awesome and I hope to see more work from you. There's not too many people these days who put in the work on their creations that you do.

Beautiful stages!!
But i think the shadow is too dark, i prefer to change it to something like this:
intensity = 50
color = 28,28,28

Keep good work  ;)

French Countryside at Night (as well as the day version):
- Crop the sprites please.
- Also, by cropping the sky sprite, when reducing it to 256 colors, you'll lose much less quality, because the sprite is really grainy as of now.
- Also, you could use one of the techniques to reduce colorloss, such as separating each sprite into a few layers to reduce colorloss when converting to indexed colors.
- You could use the Blackjack trick (look at my stage tutorial for more info) to make the front layer semi transparent, because it kinda hides the fighters.
- The shadows are a little dark IMO.
- No need to use resetbg=1. Rather set it to 0.

Australian Shore :
- Crop the sprites.
- The clouds animation is a little too fast IMO. Even with a lot of wind, clouds can't possibly go as fast.
- No need to reset the BG.
- Perspective for water motion is strange at times : the further the water, the less it should move. Also, the motion you gave is really nice, but I guess the lighthouse reflection shouldn't be moving. But hey, you're not going to generate a new animation for that. :P

Australia Dusk :
- Missing some floortension. The camera moves too much each time a char jumps. It may be the same for the other stages. Something like 80 to 100 is a better value IMO.
- Why using for the lights an animation that goes 0123456, when it's symmetric in time, and you could use twice less sprites for it, coding it as 012321 ? Would save a lot of space.
- Crop the SFF too please.

Overall, these stages are really nice looking, and the overall coding is fine. Some little things can be fixed, but you did a very nice job with them.
Can't wait to see more. :)
