What's a good Palette program?

I used to make Palettes on PSP and it worked like a charm: all I had to do was convert the image, switch the colors around so MUGEN would read the proper one as transparent, and apply the palette to my sprites, but for the life of me I can't find any program that works with palettes that easily and is free! I tried using GIMP, but I can't figure out how to apply the palette to the image or to export it so FF can read it.

Any tips or programs out there that can help? I don't want to pay 400 bucks for PSP

I'd suggest Fighter Factory, If You have trouble with the newest version like I had with making palettes, use the older version, I know someone posted the link to it here but i can't recall where.

The two AOF stages are superb

I like the Grave Yard stage. :sugoi:

Thanks guys for your comments.

the Prehistoric stage has some seriously jacked-up deltas and z-offset.

Admittedly, I made a mistake in the zoffset.
In my stages the world heroes series I use a zoffset = 220, and in this had 215. Thanks for the observation.

In a matter of deltas I do not believe to be wrong. In which case you mean:
boundleft
boundright

The original size of  sprite front 624 pixels
boundleft = 152
boundright = 152

[BG 1]
type  = normal
spriteno = 0,1
start = 0, 0
mask = 1
layerno = 0
delta = 0.4736,1

[BG 0]
type  = normal
spriteno = 0,0
start = 0, 0
mask = 1
layerno = 0
delta = 1,1

By extending of
boundleft = 216
boundright = 216

[BG 1]
type  = normal
spriteno = 0,1
start = 0, 0
mask = 1
layerno = 0
delta = 0.3333,1     (464-320=144/2=72/216=0.3333)

[BG 0]
type  = normal
spriteno = 0,0
start = 0, 0
mask = 1
layerno = 0
delta = 0.7037,1  (624-320=304/2=152/216=0.7037)

The deltas x are correct, everything depends on the
boundleft
boundright

Fixed zoffset first stage, thanks.

[BG 0]
type  = normal
spriteno = 0,0
start = 0, 0
mask = 1
layerno = 0
delta = 0.7037,1  (624-320=304/2=152/216=0.7037)

This is the sprite the characters walk on, the delta HAS to be 1,1 (or 2,2 on a hires = 1 stage).  Otherwise the characters will unnaturally slide around on it (which is what they currently do).

I did, and it WAS in the F.A.Q of this board for a bit of a while, but it apparently is no longer needed cos it's available on the official site [ it is NOW anyway ]
