It only took forever, right? Lol.

Anyway. As an apology for taking so long, I took some time to touch up a few old favorites, too, but if you want to know what, you'll have to go see yourself.

This next part might sound bad/grim/obnoxious/whatever, but read it very, very carefully.

I've been dragging along for a while, sort of, as far as my full game is concerned, and real life is starting to demand more time out of me. I want to be able to focus more on bringing my full game up to par, and non-MUGEN related things, and less on always having to update what I release.

That said, don't expect me to update a lot of my old work very frequently anymore. If it's listed as "retired" on the site, it probably is, and will not get an update of any kind, period, unless it's absolutely necessary or if I want to give the character another shot.

Retired or not, my focus for any updates would be game-breaking bugs, things that really shouldn't be happening but do. Otherwise, the update will come whenever I get to it. If I don't change something that you pointed out between updates, I might not have noticed it, or may have felt that it didn't need to be fixed, and it has nothing to do with you personally.

Anything older that I updated today (that is, not Blaze, Leona, or King) is still retired, so you can consider today's updates for those non-Blaze-Leona-King characters to be the last ones they'll get unless I broke something. Hopefully, I can call these releases of Leona and King their last ones, as well; I'm pretty satisfied with what they are now and I haven't found any bugs to speak of.

All right, enough of that depressing nonsense. If you want to help me get some stuff done, you can always head over to the Project LENSMAN subforum and submit a palette or two for characters (I always need 'em, yeah?) or just ask.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm finding myself unable to perform Enbu Jogezan (QCFx2+2K). I get Chou Kikoushou (QCFx2+2P) instead. I made sure I was using two kicks, but it keeps happening.

Just fresh DL'ed it to be sure of no error and tried myself. I got it perfectly fine. Anyone else gets this, let me know please?

If I use C+B or C+A as the two kicks I get the Chou Kikoushou every time. If I use B+A I get the correct move.

Just checked your .cmd, and it's because those commands (the C+B and the C+A ones) are labeled "2QCF_2p", while the B+A one is labeled "2QCF_2k."

Oh, lol. I guess that's what happens when I copy-paste my own code for the wrong command.

Fixed on this end, but I can't upload a full patch right this second. If no other bugs come up, I'll upload the new one either later today or tomorrow morning/afternoon.

If you don't mind, I'm doing some feedback of your Ky-chan (it's not retired, so I think there's no problem here):

- When I jump while dashing, the character doesn't have the same speed as it had while dashing, so it looks weird, like it slows down.

- "z" normal attack hitboxes are misaligned.

- "b" normal attack hitboxes are misaligned.

- I can't trigger "Axe Drop" no matter how close I position myself next to my opponent.

- "y" crouch attack doesn't really look like a crouch attack. I would suggest switching this attack with "Lightning Blade", since that one is a crouch attack, and fits better in a crouch position.

- "b" aerial attack hitboxes are really huge. Also, I was expecting them to have the same hitsound as if the opponent was cut by a blade.

- For Dust Edge (Dust version), I would suggest making it spend 500 power. Just like how it works with Jin in BB, that makes you spend power for the strongest version. Besides, the damage it does is quite high, and it allows you to move while the projectile is still hitting the enemy, so making it spend power is not bad. Also, it should hit the same number of times the attack hits if you don't block when you block. And the hitsounds of that move when it's not blocked sounds bad, since they go like a machine gun.

- Greed Sever hitboxes are really big. Also, the effects that appear are misleading and make me believe it's not hitting low, since there's no effect there, yet I'm being hit there.

- Sacred Edge projectile would look better if it went through the opponent and not just disappeared on contact.

- Ride the Lightning command is not "F,HCB", but "HCB,F" :P

- The Instant Kill activation command, "c", is completely unsafe and has no effects. I would suggest imitating source game here (stop the match while it's triggering and use the blackout and that red thing effect).

- No "Destroyed" sign appearing >:(

It's really great. I really like it. And the english voices are awesome. Who voiced her?

Dude, if IK activation stopped the match, the IK WOULD be broken. That's why they DON'T stop the match and ARE totally unsafe. I know my Guilty Gear. It only makes sense anyway.

If you actually played GG, you'd find that the IK activation does NOT stop the match, so it IS supposed to be totally unsafe (you have to find an opening).

Really? Then sorry about that. It's been a really long time since I played the game, so I don't remember a lot of things about it.

But I still think adding some effect there would be nice.

Damn it, I knew I should have thrown all of you off the trail by putting "Retired" there anyway. I'm like the Riddler, leaving behind all of these impulsive clues that I'm planning stuff! >:(

Seriously, though, I was planning on spiffing her up quite a bit, since I made Ky-Chan back when localcoords were still relatively new and I was way worse at this whole character creation deal. Since you brought it up, though, I guess I might as well get around to that sooner rather than later. Still busy doing Project LENSMAN and real-life stuff, so don't expect it anytime soon. Your feedback will be considered and is generally appreciated.

And the answer to your question about the voice actress should already be in the readme (if it's not for some unholy reason, the answer is "Rina-chan").

  • I think the HP uppercut sends the opponent too high IMO. In Ryu's HP Shoryuken the opponent drops at around the same speed as the other player IIRC.
  • Also I think the wall slam moves bounce too far. Unless you didn't want it to juggle afterwards that is.

  • Remember me telling you that MK chained itself up to 3 times? It only chains up to 2 now, but I'm still not sure if it's supposed to chain into itself. I tried it in Waru's King and it doesn't happen.

Overall very good. Still gonna do some more testing. THANKS FOR THE SPAMMABLE BASICS! ;D

Just curious, but did anyone make any palettes for Blaze at all? I don't remember seeing any in the WIP thread.

No. No one did. At ALL. Presumably people felt it would be easier to make them when the character actually came out instead of using the template. :P

Which isn't WRONG, exactly, but considering how Blaze even became one of my fixed-up WIPs in the first place I thought people would've been either more interested or would have started throwing out palettes like mad.

I would have packaged them into the character, but I just uploaded the version of Blaze with her fixed CMD. Feel free to go back and nab it if you didn't fix the error on your own.
