Yeah you know making the community smaller is the reason I wasn't going to mention any of this to begin with...  Do you think I should take this thread down?  I don't want to negatively impact the community, but I do wonder if i'm not just putting a sign post by a land mine here.  What do you think?

Your work is up, it will be hosted. I have loads of files sitting on that ucoz site, in fact i bet many people do. I can't stop them, why should i try. The work is on MY site as well. When i update people will have to go to MY site first, things like ucoz are past that point when people are just randomly searching, however if my work is publicised properly by me, they won't use that stuff.

You can't control the internet, you really really can't control what other people do, and mediafire is a perfectly valid hosting method if you don't have your own hosting.

This is complete and utter bullshit. I mean, what the fuck? How the hell are people even supposed to start out if not for file sharing sites like Mediafire?

And no, the vast majority of MUGEN sites don't have any problems with hosting your stuff on filesharing sites. In fact it's probably only the three he mentioned that don't allow it. And that's one of the reasons why they're not very good sites.

You have done absolutely nothing to hurt the community. It's those two, vozilla and TOPS, who have. They're stuck in some bizarro world universe where everyone but the meanies over at Guild follow some twisted version of the old rules. These guys are doing the same thing KFM and his cronies were doing and have brought about the same end result: the community becomes fractured and less open, harming it severely.

At least we can take solace in the fact that sites that do shit like that don't last. It's why RandomSelect went the way of the dodo.
